How 'Avengers: Endgame' Will "Create a Bridge" to 'Doomsday' With New Footage

Marvel Studios is on its way to delivering what could be the biggest comic book movie in history, Avengers: Doomsday, this December. Bringing back Robert Downey Jr. to play Victor Von Doom, the film will also include the biggest cast of any Marvel movie ever made, expanding the multiverse to heights never seen before. Additionally, the sequel has the tall order of following up on Marvel Studios' last massive crossover event movie, Avengers: Endgame, which has gone back and forth with 2009's Avatar for the title of the highest-grossing movie ever released at the box office.
During CinemaCon 2026, Marvel Studios reconfirmed plans to re-release Endgame in theaters, which will happen on Sept. 25, less than three months before Doomsday closes out the year. Along with the movie being presented in a brand-new format, Infinity Vision (developed by Disney as an alternative to IMAX), the film will include new footage and scenes that were specifically shot for the re-release and will set up some of what's coming in its successor. If anything, maybe introducing him could set up the introduction of the only cosmic beings above him: the One-Above-All, the One-Below-All, and The Living Tribunal (even though TLT has made a "cameo" already lol)?
