Much, much better pass rush. Much better.

you've just convinced me:rolleyes:

if you can't pass on someone, why not attempt running? will you be able to stop the run w/ 2 light, very poor, run-stopping DEs?

can't do that, and your passing game just gets opened up for big plays off the playaction, is a 2nd year Laron Landry, and 3rd year Doughty good enough and experienced enough now to stop it? I wouldn't count on it

Well, it's funny you should say that, b/c at the same age, Campbell has better numbers then Hasslebeck. He didn't exactly turn out to be a journeyman.

Hasslebeck: 13 games/12 starts 176/321 54.8% 2023 yards, 7 TD 8 INT
Campbell: 13 game/13 starts 250/417 60.0% 12 TD, 11 INT

why does Campbell have to turn into a good QB? he doesn't

while you're salivating over the QB Campbell could be, it's just as possible that he doesn't get much better than journeyman, and I will not be convinced until Campbell puts up any kind of consistency, at least let him get there before we talk

I think TO is an accurate comparison. Both are about the same age, both are incredible shape, both are still highly productive (Taylor had 11 sacks on a horrible Dolphins team where no one else had more then Joey Porter's 5.5). TO just signed a 4-year deal?

but TO is a WR, he doesn't have to deal w/ the physicality of playing DE, going up against players that weigh twice your weight, at the age of 34

While I agree with you that the Skins are not a "favorite" for a championship run, they should still be competitive. I don't see how this move was bad for the Skins.

it's not a bad move, it's just a move that doesnt really change much for you guys, you still have issues on O

and if Taylor is attacked like he should be, his addition might not bear the fruit you guys are hoping for, he'll have his days against the poorer teams, but teams like Dallas and Minny, he's going to have problems, I could probably think of a few others

So, what would you have done? D-Line was our thinnest position, and the Skins sustained two season-ending injuries on the same day. Should they have stuck with Carter, Evans, Wilson, Jackson (a 7th round pick), and possibly Erasmus James? And please spare me the the draft talk -- if the Skins had drafted Calais Campbell, you'd be saying how overrated he is, and they didn't take him. He's not here. So what would you have done in that situation?

And not to mention, if TO went down, and the Cowboys sent a 2nd and a 6th rnd pick to Cincinatti for Chad Johnson, you'd be singing the praises of Jerry Jones.

I'd draft Calais Campbell, and develop him, it can't be worse than Fred Davis' position as a backup, so that you have depth on the Dline, and maybe a rotation, at least another big body to stopping the run, which you guys severly lack at DE, and which could be exploited badly, making the Jason Taylor acquisition pretty much null and void

Thats a real question huh? Does Zorn actually think it's going to be that easy? Just line up with 3 WR and a TE and viola unstoppable offense? Holy crap this season is going to be fun

it's hilarious, since he has no big-time receivers, and only 1 who can really hurt your team, Moss, I'm confident on Newman, who is elite, unlike Moss, in shutting him down

and Dallas will be playing a very good CB w/ size on Cooley, Henry

we also did pretty well against Favre's spread-attack offense, w/ a much worse group of Dbacks
