Commanders fans, keeping it classy as usual

I think Romo is kind of cute (and damned slippery in the pocket). And he is clearly a top half starter. That said, he is not "elite" (Brady like). And never will be. And it irks me to hear people on ESPN asking if he can be or just assuming that Dallas somehow deserves to always have Staubach like competence.

well look at our QB lineage...Eddie LeBaron was one heckuva QB...too bad he was on an expansion team and on the downside of his career. Then we had Don Meredith. Meredith was also a very good QB. He was followed by Captain America, Roger the Dodger. After Roger, we had another very good QB in Danny White. Then we had a short lull until Aikman. Once we got Aikman, the greatness returned. Then, we had another short lull until Romo. So yes, the Cowboys have had quite a bit of quality at the QB position for most of the franchise's existence. Even a scrub like Q led them to the playoffs once.

During their era:

LeBaron - top 15
Meredith - top 10
Staubach - top 5 (arguably top 2, along with Bradshaw)
White - top 10 (would have been top 5 had he gotten past 1 of the 3 NFC Title games)
Aikman - top 5 (3 SBs and winningest QB of 90s)
Romo - top 10 (statswise top 5, but overall team success drops him to bottom half of top 10)

I bet the majority of people on ExtremeSkins (which sounds like a gay-porn website), are on dial-up. :lmao:

It's funny you should say that. I worked for a company for a year, they blocked CowboysZone.com. The reason? It was labled as a porn site...

I am sure that is true.

Dallas does deserve to always have that QB. We are Americas Team. It certainly isn't the PukeSkins.

That a Garbage organization. They don't even deserve being a team they way they are ran and the players they reach for and overpay for.

I could go on....

It stunk that bad :)

If he had some cojones, he'd actually bother jumping in the debate. I have little respect for message board posters who run to their home board and cry about some other message board. Commanders fans included in that

Follow the rules of the place, realize you are a guest, sack up and get in it. Or keep your mouth shut

Your hypocrisy is LAUGHABLE.

You are on a Cowboys board telling US we are obsessed?

WTH? That is just stupid for someone to post about. :laugh2: :laugh2:

Stop embarrassing yourself, get off our boards and go suck on some art.

Wow...talk about keeping it classy...

By the way, there are far more Cowboys fans on ES than Commanders fans here...so if you want to bring up this obsession crap, you might want to attempt is debunk that little fact.

What does that have to do with you being obsessed with the Cowboys?

There being a lot of Cowboy trolls at ES has nothing to do with the fact that you are so obsessed with the Boys you have spent over 5 years at a Cowboys message board.

But keep trying to deny it.

Or maybe, just maybe, I enjoy intelligent discussion with our greatest rival...as many Cowboys fans do.

Perhaps if you could generate an actual football discussion instead of this childish tripe, you'd understand...

Well said Biggems! This is really the root of it all. The Sk*ns hate us mainly out of jealousy. It must be hard to have had to stand in our shadow for the past 50 years.

You are not talking to Eagles fans here. We have won our share of championships. You guys have a couple more and thats not too bad for an expansion team.

So how does it feel knowing an expansion team is your Daddy?

U want football discussion, ok.....so how do you feel the skins will do running the football on Monday? Hightower seems to have given your running game a little boost. Also, is Torain (or however you spell his name) going to play?

Does Rex and his turnover history worry you against Ryan's defense? Are you concerned that Rex might get a bit careless with the football because of pressure and start completing passes to our secondary?

Well I can say whatever I feel like then because I do have the exact same forum name at a Commanders fan site that I go to once in a while to have discussions and I generally enjoy my time there.

The difference is between that forum, and what I've seen looking at ES a few times (And I'll admit I never bothered to sign up because of this as well) is that ES has a few too many morons who just want to be jerk offs and flex their internet tough guy muscles.

I have ZERO respect for that and there for would never waste my time going there to sign up, or lurk (i went those couple of times to check the place out and see if it was worth signing up, quickly realised it was not), and instead found a place with smart, respectful, savvy Commanders fans where you can enjoy some football debate.

I do think it's sad that so many here give a crap what the idiots that are at ES have to say. I guess it's to have a laugh about it here, or whatever, but if you're honestly interested in a good forum to talk with the rival fans then look around a little bit more cause there is at least one forum out there that is quite good for Skins fans.

I am a little concerned about the running game -- the Cowbouys D has shut down some pretty good backs in the Jets running game and Frank Gore. However, as against the Giants, Shanahan has shown he will stick with it.

Torain will only play if there is an injury, because of the presence of Helu. This guy is good. I think this is the best rookie class in a long, long time for the Skins. He put a couple of moves in the pre-season and against the Cards that were jaw dropping, left the would-be tackler gasping for air. He had about 120 total yards in that game. Against an aggressive defense, he could be very dangerous...

I'll answer that with a question -- does Romo's, especially playing with broken ribs, turnover history worry you? I think that's a yes on all accounts. However, I am less worried about our passing game than our running game. IN all honesty, your 2ndary is not good, and I think Fred Davis is going to give your defense fits.

This is going to be a very interesting game. The Cowboys are banged up pretty badly -- however Texas and Monday Night do not a good combination make for the Skins...

Helu is a really solid player for you. I loved that kid when he was playing for my Cornhuskers.

Oh I love me some Helu...

Check out the move he puts on Jefferson at about 1:08, I can just hear the guy who would appear in the originial Mortal Kombat for SEGA Genesis: Whoopsie!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0joXEf0OTzA&feature=related

It wasn't just SEGA's Mortal Kombat. It was part of the actual Mortal Kombat II (and 3) game. Btw, It's Toasty not Whoopsie!

"Toasty!" is an Easter egg first featured in Mortal Kombat II.

160px-Toasty_mk2.png

It originated as an inside joke between members of the Mortal Kombat development team, and made its way into the game via an image of sound designer Dan Forden appearing in the lower-right corner of the screen, and saying "Toasty!" (and "Frosty!" and "Crispy,or Krispy" in rare moments), when the player performed a particularly vicious uppercut.

I could have sworn it was Whoopsie...ah well still works the same :)

And will work even better when Moss runs by your entire secondary again!
