If by some chance the boys don't go all the way this year do they really think them or any other team in the NFC stand any chance going up against the Patriots or the Colts?

I have to agree with this.

The cowboys matchup very well against any AFC contender. I believe the cowboys lead the NFC in games played against non conference opponents for the past 4 seasons? Either way, anyone else would probably get slaughtered. The rest would be joke contenders. Last year illustrates this point. After we eliminated ourselves, the injured seahawks limped into chicago only to be good rexed. They then ran into a "surprise" saints team who was a beneficiary of an easy schedule + well known teams. The bears were eventually bad rexed out of the superbowl.

Its just a sad state of affairs. If the patriots or colts don't make it i wouldn't be surprised if Green Bay wins it all, followed by Bretts retirement. The cowboys could handle any of the NFC opposition, but not dominate them there could be quite a few close games. The Commanders making it to the superbowl would a disgrace to the NFC as they don't even have a real QB, they should lose tomorrow. The Bucks are a decent team, but nothing more than 1-1 post season..They had an easy schedule and a weak division. The Giants are injured and inconsistent. The Seahawks have a formula to their madness and experience on their side, and could possibly surprise green bay. That game would be such an amazing showdown. Holmgren vs Favre opening the possibility of a Cowboys vs Seahawks showdown or a cowboys vs 0-9 brett. mmm.

For those of you who live in the Md., Northern Va., and DC area, I'm sure you are getting the same treatment. I just smile and say, "yeah, you guys are HOT"!! They then get quiet and happy, but they don't see the 'hot lava boiling' inside of me! These guys swear up and down they're heading to Arizona and destroying everyone in their path. C'mon Seattle!!

First of all, If you are a guy you should never say "you guys are HOT!":nono2:

Second, that lava might be, in the words of Hos, gas. I would have it checked out.

Third, the game brings up a dilemma: Do we hope for a Seattle win so they can travel to Irving and get whupped or root for the Skins, who would travel to Irving to get whupped?
Actually, it is not a dillemma. A dilemma is two choice that are equally bad.
Each of those scenarios would be good.

Me, I'd prefer to see the Skins cry in their beers this weekend and see the Seahawks get their bird ashes handed to them in Dallas.

:D

:lmao: I was going to respond to your points but you just completely discredited yourself with these two hysterical statements. Thank you for saving myself from a longer response.

I accept your unconditional surrender...

Had you bothered to try to challenge those two statements, I would have been quite happy to offer a statistical analysis proving what I said was true... the ONLY reason Bradshaw is in the HOF is those 4 Super Bowl rings, and he was the classic Parcells "bus driver" for those teams...

As for Elway, what he accomplished late in his career does justify his inclusion in the HOF, IMO...

I really...REALLY hate to agree with a Commander fan.

But on this I do.

Then make a case for Bradshaw being in the HOF, with a career QB rating of 70.9, a career completion percentage of 51.9, a career average of 166.7 yards per game passing, and a TDs to ints ratio of 212-210...

This year, a QBR of 70.9 would have ranked that QB 28th in the league... a completion percentage of 51.9 would rank that QB 34th... and that's what Bradshaw did for his CAREER...

Terry got lucky in that he played for a great team, where he just had to be the "bus driver"...

As for Elway, take a look at his first ten seasons in the league:

Attempts-- 4339
Completions-- 2375
Completion Percentage-- 54.7%
Yards-- 30,216 (3022 yards per season)
TDs-- 158
Ints-- 157
Rating-- 73.8...

If he'd called it a career after that, absolutely nobody would be calling him a Hall of Famer... it's what he did those next six years that makes his claim to the HOF legit:

Attempts-- 2911
Completions-- 1748
Completion Percentage-- 60.0
Yards-- 21,259 (3543 yards per season)
TDs-- 142
Ints-- 69 (nearly 2 TDs for every int thrown)
Rating-- 88.9...

I was actually surprised to find out how very bad Bradshaw's career stats were...

I'm hoping they win tomorrow. They did waaaay too much trash talking and celebrating after beating our BACKUPS in a MEANINGLESS game. I WANT THEM IN BIG D... :eek:hboy:

As much as I want to see them again i'm not sure i could take another week of them puffing up their chest about how great they are. The perfect ending for their season is 1 and done in the playoffs.

:lmao: Keep 'em coming....this is really helping my pregame jitters. Thank you.

Oh, and the argument that Elway wasn't a Hall of Famer until he won the Super Bowls is good stuff too.

It's not my fault if you can't accept reality... I'll wager right now that Terry Bradshaw has the worst stats of any QB in the Hall of Fame... 167 yards per game?? You've gotta be kidding me...

Hello McFly!!! The rules regarding the passing game were just a tad different back in the '70's. Don't get too caught up in stats my friend. You are making a fool of yourself.
