The Rams offer came the year after Garrett's offense was getting called out. The general reaction from Rams fans was that Garrett was about to be their HC.... And they inundated HQ with phone calls blasting the move and threatening loss of money and the Rams organization went in PR spin mode and denied it and they left the dufus with us.

He still did the interviews(Ravens and Rams). The Rams did not offer him the job.

Thanks. Maybe that is why I did not hear of him...the Special Teams were SO good they flew under the radar. Don't think for one second this is a token interview for the Skins. The Skins were AWFUL...I mean historically awful on special teams...and I would not be shocked if they somehow find a promotoion to get him in there organizaiton

I won't say impossible. I believe Jim Harbaugh and Andy Reid were both special teams coaches if i'm not mistaken. Its not crazy to think a special teams coach could be a head coach. I just don't personally see it in Rich's case this early. Maybe a year or two down the road with continued success.

Commanders have to sell their fans hope and I don't think that's the move.

you guys forget one thing, the Commanders are probably the ONLY franchise with a worse FO than us....they can't do anything right...and, when they think they do something right like selling the farm for a potential franchise QB, that backfires on them (although, The Rams are chuckling)
