Rivera did not know how to best deal with his QB situation .... Heinecke is limited as bravo try as he tries to be.

He's a backup, who can only take you so far before his flaw are exposed. At least we saw him give it to Philly in their first loss.

But to go to Wenz who still is as shell-shocked, tentative, slow and full of bad decisions and inaccuracy - to which is why they had to bench Prince Wentz and turn to the limited
Heinecke in the first place ... what in the world did River think he'd be getting as an improvement in Wentz ?

Commandoes will continue to suffer and struggle until they get their QB and OL situation settled.
Good luck on that.

-Seattle now has their QB in Gino Smith
-Niners may have theirs in Brock Purdy
- Raiders are poised to be getting rid of their long time QB in Carr
- Eagles QB may be poised to get the league MVP in Hurts
- Jets likely to shipp Zach Wilson out QB in question now
- Colts another that is screaming for a QB also
- Denver will seek coaching to resurrect Russell Wilson
- Giants now ooking to extent Daniel Jones
- Texans are woeful at QB since trading Watson
- Steelers hope to have Pickett for years to come
- Saints have no 1st rd picks and only Dalton and Winston
- Stidham of Raiders was outstanding vs a top Defense like niners
- Bears Field is early Lamar Jackson 2.0 for now - 70% runner..30% passer

Available vet QBs for Washington ? ..... Baker Mayfield ? ... Derek Carr ? ..Jimmy Grapp ? ....Sam Darnold ? ..Gardner Minshew ?

As far as I am concerned, I think of the Commanders as an expansion team. The old rivalry between Dallas and Washington died when they changed the team name. The team I loved to hate died a couple of years ago. R.I.P.

They will be all in on Derek Carr IMO

Rivera & Co. really thought they could resurrect Carson Wentz.
As QB-desperate as Indy was, they could not wait to get rid of him.

And then Washington had the nerve to risk their entire season upon that ..and now they are paying the price for it.
And if they don't address it as quickly and properly as possible, that's gonna end up costing Rivera his HC job, pending who the new owners will be.

And while some franchises are melting down, we see elite quarterbacks like Brady and Rodgers lead their teams to the postseason despite having flawed and injured rosters

these elite dudes are like herpes and luggage…..just can’t seem to get rid of them

Rodgers is literally throwing to practice squad level talent. Its unreal he's got that team within a win of the playoffs.

How many teams will try out Carson Wentz until they realize he's fools gold?

I of 2 reason Wentz started, Ron knew his job was lost so put a bullet in his own ship...OR he was told to start him as the GM was going to take a bullet for the trade (he or Ron whomever is the culprit) and was not getting shot with Wentz on the bench...nothing else makes sense.

I think he wanted this to be the spark to lead them into the playoffs.

Heinecke is very limited but is a very try hard player. They have won mostly with him not because of him.

The Wentz decision was their downfall. I understand the hope that he would workout for him but ultimately I don't know what other choice they had at that point in time. I thought they were in the Watson running but I maybe wrong. They could have drafted Pickett I guess.

33 completions
57 attempts
328 yards
1 TD
4 INTs
50.91 passer rating

That is the combined efforts of Carson Wentz in last season's game against the Jags and this past week with a playoff berth on the line in both instances.

Hell Washington saw how bad he was and then after a few weeks they talked themselves into trying him AGAIN

I'm not just talking the coaching staff. It was the same from the media and fans

From what I’ve read apparently Wentz is great looking in practice, but folds adjusting to the speed of the game. He’s fool’s gold …and Ron fell for it again.

I wonder how my friends are doing the ones that told me Carson was going to lead them to the superbowl, and Heinicke could learn from him

and then turned around and told us he cant wait for Heinicke to sign that 7 year 170 million dollar contract and he was the best qb in the nfc east
