Commanders QB situation is a JOKE

McNabb is clearly the best QB in the division, with Eli being the worst last year. Bledsoe and Brunell put up similar numbers. Depth-wise Dallas is the worst with almost no experience while Philly looks decent. My breakdown would be:

Starters
1. McNabb
2. Bledsoe and Brunell are tied
3. Manning (but moving up)

Depth
1. Garcia & Detmer
2. Hasselback & Johnson
3. Campbell & Collins
4. Romo & Henson

And the overall order as 1. Philadelphia, 2. Washington, 3. Dallas, and 4. New York.

lol where do you get your propoganda from? Campbell is our number 2...Collins is only here to teach him the playbook.

Depth
1. Garcia & Detmer
2. Hasselback & Johnson
3. Campbell & Collins
4. Romo & Henson

.....I know. Isnt it silly when you think about it? Skins fans would have you believe that collins was brought in to teach Campbell the ropes/playbook????????? Ahhhhhhhhhhhh excuse me, Brunells been around what, 13, 14 years now, and unlike Collins he's actually achieved a little something in this league. Wouldnt you rather have your young 1st rounder learning from him rather that Collins of all people. I mean really, whats he gonna teach him, how to be a career backup and not a very good one at that?...:lmao: Heres the simple truth of the matter. Gibbs thinks if all the chips fall right he may be close but knows he needs a backup if Brunnel goes down. Bad year to pick up a backup, Collins was all they could get. Truth is Campbell is NOWHERE NEAR READY, If he ever even is ,and they are stuck with Collins if Brunnel goes down. THAT is the truth of it. I cant wait till it all unfolds, and IT WILL.

Preseason will tell a pretty sad tale for skins fans IMO. PREY nothing happens to the starter if your a skins fan...LOL Sight unseen I would be willing to bet ALMOST anything that at the end of preseason Romo's numbers blows Collins AND Campbells out of the water. Not a shadow of a doubt in my mind. Now I know preseason means very little, BUT, it DOES mean something.

I would think that by now NFL fans would have learned not to eat the bullcrap that the media keeps feeding them. Regardless what you hear on NFL Network, ESPN or your other obligatory sports channels, Jason Campbell is going to be the #2 QB this season.

No, it's not silly that Collins was brought in to tutor Campbell. He's not going to be tutoring him in reading defenses, how to throw the ball and other trivial things. The Commanders brought in Al Saunders as their offensive coordinator. The Commanders brought in Todd Collins as a third string QB. Who has Todd Collins played with for most of his career? The Kansas City Chiefs...Al Saunder's former team. Are things starting to come together now?

Collins wasn't brought in to be Campbell's mentor. He was brought in to help make Saunders' offense click more quickly for both Brunell and Campbell. We paid bottom dollar for the guy anyway. Barring a miracle, Collins will serve his purpose as an instructor, and watch from the sidelines.

To Mont and AH...Collins was brought in to teach Campbell the playbook because he has been a Backup QB under our new OC Al Saunders, and he knows the playbook very well, not because Campbell is stupid. Yes, Brunell has alot of experience, but not in this particular offense, so while Brunell is playing, Campbell will learn.

*Edit* Sorry, Kevin beat me too it

Then your number 2 QB has bust written all over him, and your own board up in arms about his accuracy.

Campbell has had like 5 different OCs in 6 years....Collins has played for Al Saunders for the last 4 years.

Collins was brought in to be a mentor, but he'll also be your backup b/c the QB you reached for in the first round last year won't be ready to be second string yet. Didn't your own front office say they brought him in to compete for the #2 job?

As far as him playing goes, I'd say it'll be more of a miracle if Brunell starts the entire season without injury.

They were a joke last year too.

Any given Sunday.

I would say it is a miracle if Jones plays a full season too.

Same difference.

Same difference. Except for the part about one guy being your QB and the other guy being a running back.

Oh, and the fact that the running back has an adequate player backing him up, where the the QB has a stop-gap veteran who isn't very good to begin with and a kid with no professional experience who can't throw an out pattern or on the run with any accuracy.

Other than that, the situation is so similar, it's scary.

That comment is stupid. So what if you the coaches want him to learn at much as he can? So your saying him learning as much as he can is stupid?

No one is perfect that why we have teachers, and that is why we practice. he just making the most out of it.

And just because your the number one pick doesnt mean you dont have much to learn.

Um.... I dont think collins was bring in to teach Campbell at all. Didnt you hear? Ramsey was out of town. So they bring in a 3rd QB. And since we aquire Al saunders why not bring in Collins? Who knows Al saunder and his system? And since Collins know his system why not use him to help Campbell and Brunell learn a system too? Two head is better then one.

Please take off the silver and blue glasses your logic dont make sense

And your #2 and #3 is also unproven. I can also say bust.
So what your point? We are in the same position. At least we have 3 mentors for our one QB in succession.

JUst no way that Brunnell will play a full season. Just how often has he?
One GOOD hit and he is gone.

Garcia is awful. He should be out of the league. He was a complete and utter failure in Detroit. I didn't see his every pass there, but the 3 or 4 I did see, I'm not sure I saw him through 2 good passes.

That said Detmer is more of a sure thing than Romo or Henson.
