Commanders sign Keenan McCardell Per ES

Their trade scenarios are worse than a lot of the ones posted here. Some of their gems include:

Trade Brandon Lloyd to Houston for a 3rd rounder

Trade Brandon Lloyd and a 2nd to ARZ for Larry Fitzgerald.


Sheesh.

they would be better off keeping Llyod and just offering a 2nd for fitz. Not that they would take it, but that is just a more attractive deal.

Perhaps it is even more serious than is being let on, and this is an insurance policy for that?

Lloyd is already out for all intents and purposes.

Another possibility is that Caldwell looks bad up to this point in practice.

after reading "War without Defeat" It made me respect the trio of Snyder-Cerrato-Gibbs even less.

I have no respect for snyder and cerrato, they absolutely the worst front office in the nfl, but I have respect for gibbs. After reading some of the inner workings of the Commanders decision process in that book I have lost a great deal of respect for gibbs.

and The behind the scenes stuff with Daniel snyder was pretty funny. On the night they signed all their free agents, march 11, 2006 snyder called drew rosenhaus and asked him if Dallas was signing Terrell Owens... rosenhaus told him no they are not and snyder replied, "good cause if Dallas signs owens I am going to buy Sean Taylor a car if he knocks his A-- out"

They are pathetic, and the worst part is I think they have a good team and will earn a wild card spot, but I have lost all respect for that front office and even joe gibbs for being involved with these characters, he should have took the atlanta job like he was going to when arthur blank offered it to him.

What is going on with the skins? They paid this guy handsome amount of money and gave up 3rd and 4th round draft picks to be their #2 WR (I believe) and he has zero catches this year. I guess coaches feel Lloyd isn't playing up to his capabilities and doesn't trust him or something.

Their 3 other WRs (Pinkston, Thrash, and Calwell) all sucks as well and now they add another has-been, nuts.

Last I heard he was demoted to 4th WR on the depth chart.

I think it is fair to say that if they had not given him that contract he would not be on the team right now. His production has been nil since he went there and I think he has basically been a jerk.

How is that possible when he is better than Terry Glenn?

I thought the Commanders overall WR core is better than the Cowboys overall?

The only thng we changed from last year to this year is we added Stanback.

I can't see the reasoning behind this signing, unless they hated what they saw from Caldwell and cut him to sign McCardell.

But that Lloyd deal sure is looking worse all the time.....
