crazy part is that they always still find a way to be under the cap but usually they still suck so no problem haha! ah well as for the Haynesworth signing well he in my mind is the 2nd best defensive player in the NFL so adding a player like him is a great move although damn $100 million is freakin ridiculous even for a QB that would be a lot...

They can sign whoever they want.

Every year I expect them to finish 4th in the division. They don't let me down most of the time.

This isn't a bad or good move. Of course time will tell how well it works out. Until then I put it in what I call the lateral move category.

Sorta like what we did with L. Davis in 2007. Acquired perhaps the best player at his position but had to PAY for it.

As I see it every player has a particular benefit to his team. Benefit being a function of how good he is and what % of the cap does he take.

In 2008 players like Ware and Ratliff were a huge benefit to us. Not only were they great players, they weren't eating up a huge piece of the cap.

I want good things for canty. Going to washington would be a very bad thing for him. they are not winning anything anytime soon.

I hope he catches on with the titans that is a good franchise with a chance and a terrific head coach.

I guess our teams have something in common.

some of you guys could work for a circus because of how well you spin things. I guarantee if the boys had signed haynesworth, you'd all be shouting "GUARANTEED SUPERBOWL BABY!"

Now, I dont approve of this signing, actually. Costs too much, and we need o-line help. The defense was a strength last season, and from the looks ot if, should continue to be our strength next season. Between now and then, we need to draft O-lineman and work on our offense though, or it'll be another 8-8 season.

Well Gurode owned him last time they played so we are OK anyway.
And they have got to be counting on a uncapped year to do those contracts. Wonder what happens if the NFL and NFLPA do sign a deal after all?

Haynesworth can line up all over the line. You can better believe, he will be paying the Cowboys' left side a vist.

According to adam schefter on NFLN, both Hall and Haynesworth were offered MORE money than the Commanders offered, but both chose to come to washington

Are you sure, because all I'm hearing is that Washington offered, by far, the most money to Haynesworth out of all the interested teams.

I've heard that on several radio sports shows and not one has said Albert turned down a more lucrative offer from another suitor. In fact, one caller asked and he was told that Washington was the highest bidder.

I thought the Titans offered him more. I heard the per year number was bigger. Oh, well.

I heard Haynesworth talking tough on the news. I think # 65 will be ready. You turned the other cheek, but know it's time to get your revenge by kicking his butt, twice a year.

The Cowboys have never been like the Raiders or Commanders. The vast majority of our guys are drafted or signed as RFA's by us. Jones has spent big dollars to keep his good players, but we've never been like the Skins or some other teams.

Are you kidding me? Leodard Davis, Anthony Henry, Marco Rivera and the NT from the Jets, forget his name. Only Davis has played really well and he's a guard of all things which is the easiest position in the NFL to fill.

I think Jerry Jones has done better lately in the draft but he's gone so far off the deep end with the coaching and lack of discilpine that it doesn't matter. Those two things are way more important than actual talent which is why the Cowboys missed the playoffs.

Out of all those only Davis was given a massive deal to come here the rest where pretty much around the league average

lol

Henry, ferguson and davis have been very good here.

We use free agency now as much as any other team. The cowboys name just gets thrown around alot and guys like you arent smart enough to decipher what is being said and or what is happening.

and its kind of funny hearing a titans fan talk about lack of discipline and nonsense from players? Pot meet kettle.

He has serious potential to be the next Dan "Big Failure" Wilkinson IMO. He's talented no doubt, but injury prone, struggles with his weight and has a poor work ethic......sounds like the same guy to me...by all means give him 100 mil. Even JJ isn't that stupid...............

maybe you should stick to your own team then:

key players drafted or signed as rookie FA's by Cowboys:

Offense: Romo, Barber, Jones, Choice, Anderson, Adams, Gurode, Witten, Bennett, Crayton, Austin

Defense: Canty, Ratliff, Spears, Hatcher, Bowen, Ware, James, Spencer, Ellis, Burnett, Newman, Jenkins, Scandrick, RW 38, Keith Davis

ST: Folk, McBriar
