I think at the end of the day, due to Albert's previous history prior to contract years, the Skins fans could very easily be very upset with this signing within the next 2 years.

But not nearly as much as you guys are going to be upset with the Hall signing. That one will be the one that will really piss you off over the next 2-3 seasons.

It was just reported that Canty just cancelled his trip to the Skins tomorrow.

IMO no player can live up to his contract, unless his name is LT (as in Lawrence Taylor)

Yes, he makes the d-line much better. But will he ever have the ROI on a 100 million dollar deal?

Whenever Dan Snyder understands that you can spend 1/10th of that money on a dominant scouting department and find more Chris Horton's in a draft, the Commanders will be a middling 8-8 team

You simply can't expect a team to be very good long term when you tie up 100 million on a DT, who can't possibly live up to that deal without winning some games all by himself (sack, fumble recovery TD type plays)
He did hire Morocco Brown last season. If you expect to get a Chris Horton in every draft though...

Yeah, that's a ton of coin. But they've proven time and time again they can manipulate the cap just fine.

Haynesworth is a DPOY caliber player the past two seasons. This sucks.

Hall played well for us when he was here for that short stint. We do have one of the better DB coaches in Jerry Gray after all.

I personally think Gurode is going to be motivated by playing against him - not so much b/c of the "incident" but b/c Andre played really well against him in the that game -- One of his more dominant performances in the league and ultimately what got him the notice that has put him in the probowl.

Yeah, he played well over the last half of the season, but I've seen enough of Hall to know that in the long run you guys will be dreading that deal. He's burnt toast the majority of the time and it's not just when he plays elite recievers. Run of the mill, average, Joe Blow WR's eat his lunch.

With his skill set and a coach like Jerry Gray, he does have the chance to keep up his level of play. I wouldn't count him out yet.

I am wait and see on Hall

I knew him in college and was never impressed with him in the locker room. Nice guy off the field

I'll feel better about bringing back Hall depending on how he acts this offseason and if he is willing to put in the hours to take advantage of his tremendous athletic ability

Time will tell on Hall

He's a great player. Is it the money paid to a DT? Or do you think he will become a fat cat athlete?
How can you be overly comfortably with a guy who has been in the league for years, and only "got it" in the two years before his contract was up - and is now the highest paid defender in the NFL? A guy like Kevin Williams has dominated from the get-go. I think it would make any fan uneasy.

I hope the skins keep signing.

they never learn.

Their whole team is a free agent or a trade.

They lost to ny without burres and sf to close out the year, the only reason no one talks about it is because they are obsessed with bagging on Dallas.

But the skins lost to cincy, st.louis and sf last year and got whipped by the giants in december without burress. That secondary got torched by eli in tough wind conditions that day.

I am so glad they are in our division. Until they respect the draft and the philosophy that wins, they will always be the team they are now.

At least we got parcells to straighten our meddling owner out and put together a foundation, they got gibbs who is more free agent crazy than snyder.

I hope they sign some more.

I always worry about the skins because they play well early and play decent late most of the time, but this year I am not so worried at this point.

Welp, for a team what was ($500,000??) under the cap, they signed a total of TWO players for a combined $154M with $63.5M of that guaranteed money! As a Cowboy fan, you can't hope for anything better except them signing Canty for $50+ million and half that guaranteed. To bad that it doesn't look like the Canty part of it is going to happen. :(

I want good things for canty. Going to washington would be a very bad thing for him. they are not winning anything anytime soon.

I hope he catches on with the titans that is a good franchise with a chance and a terrific head coach.

Guess that means he's leaving Dallas.

Somebody would've paid him. This is the market, I remember when fans here and from other teams blew up when we signed Deion to this big contract, wasn't even close to Haynesworth.
