You realize, millions of Texans now want you dead, right? :p:

I know. When the subject of burgers comes up on here, there's always a bunch of Whataburger fans.

They're not that bad. They're just overrated and overpriced for what you get.

There are some great burger places in my town ... locally owned places that put some effort into them and cover them in green chile, etc.

Olive Garden commercials. The characters have a high degree of affectation, and the dialogue is mawkish.

Oh, and I love Whataburger. Best fast food hamburger. Sandy's (Ben will know:)) is excellent as well.

Agree.

It's just over the top. I could see Phil Hartman and Jan Hooks doing an Olive Garden spoof on SNL. They're all so happy and beautiful and perfect, and life is just wonderful. The smiles are forced, the laughter is forced and they're not fooling me for a second. :laugh2:

I don't like most commercials that try to evoke an emotional response from me.
I feel like they are trying to emotionally manuplate me.

I haven't eaten a Snickers candy bar since the Super Bowl commercial a few years back with the kissing mechanics. I didn't think any commercial would ever sicken me like that one. Burger King has.

I actually called their corporate offices last week to vent.

As much as it makes me uncomfortable to see two men kissing, that commercial is actually pretty funny. First time i've seen it.

How about those ASPCA commercials? Those really suck. I change the channel, then my morbid fascination always makes me turn it back.

The "less than $1 a day" commercials with the kids aren't fun to watch either.

Sometimes, it's worth it. I sponsored some kid named "Bob" from Annapolis. Real hardship case. Couldn't even afford proper abs.

Yep, those are the ones I'm thinking about. I understand what they are trying to achieve and I appreciate their efforts but it just doesn't work well on me. As soon as these commercials come on, I turn the channel, even if the only option i have is to watch Rome is Burning. If you know how much hatred I have towards that man, you would understand that its saying a lot:D.

Any Directv commercial which claims customers can receive local channels with their programming. According to them, 94% of the country can receive local channels.

I can't though. What bites even more is the fact that if I were a Dish Network subscriber, I could get ALL local channels in high definition! If the NFL ever switched its Sunday Ticket packet to Dish Network, I would leave Directv so fast, it would make someone's head spin. My inability to subscribe to local channels is the only thing I dislike about Directv.

That is so sad. Did it help his abs?

Sadly, he remains scrawny to this very day. My 25 cents did feed his entire village, however.

I turn the channel immediately. It always seems to come on during Mike & Mike in the mornings on ESPN2.

I also hate the MagicJack commercials. "Fire your phone company..." :puke:

Any jewelery commercial, especially Kay Jewelers and Jared's.

If it were possible to catch the ghey from watching television, Kay and Jared's would start a contagion.

Best possible analogy for those commercials.

The one with the father and his college-age daughter is especially cringe-worthy. Each time she screeches "Oh daddy!" at the end of the commercial, I become nauseous.
