Jerry Jones is the best GM in the NFL. He'll do anything to win. Thank god for Jerry, otherwise, Parcells would have drafted Spears instead of Ware. Jerry loves this team and will do what ever it takes to win.

In case you forgot, he won us 3 Super Bowls. His drafting is about the same as the rest of the league. It's a crap shoot.

I was pondering what the main thing we can all agree on is and the main thing that comes to mind is that Jerry the owner needs to fire Jerry the GM and hire a real football guy to run things. I know this will never happen as long as Jerry's health holds out but this seems to be one of the few things almost everyone agrees on. There may be a few who like Jerry the GM but they are few and far between. I personally don't mind Jerry the owner but wish he would hire a football guy to run things. Any thoughts on this issue or anyone who believes Jerry is a good GM?

I like the idea behind this thread. I think we can all agree that Jerry Jones is a problem. I hope we can agree that our pass defense is among the worst in the league, and has been for some time. That our roster is top-heavy and lacks talent behind the starters. That our DL is now in shambles.

I have a harder time finding anything positive we can all agree on, which is in itself a commentary on this board's definition of "realist," but then, I'd so expect some of that after missing the playoffs the last four seasons.

I think both Realists and Optimists could agree that the Cowboys on paper are not a Super Bowl contender this year.
