Thank you for posting this. I was wondering what our draft picks were after we made the trades for Cassell, Cmike, and Butler.

Appreciate the post.

What did we give for those 3 ??
wasnt C mike a 5th?

I really really mope we get 3 dlinemen out of this haul,we could transform our Dline from a weakness to a strength in one draft.

Kirwan and Miller were talking about that last week and had fans calling in and correcting them then too.

How these people can work in the industry connected to covering the NFL where their job is to know the insides and outs of the sport be so sloppy?

IRVING, Texas – When the Cowboys dealt away some of their low-end draft picks last season, they did so with the idea they would be compensated in return, at some point.

That point was Friday when the NFL announced the Cowboys would get four compensatory draft picks for the 2016 draft, pushing their total of selections up from five to nine.

One of the picks is a fourth rounder (135th overall), to go along with three more sixth-round picks for this season. The Cowboys were awarded picks No. 212, 216 and 217.

While the NFL is planning on making the compensatory picks tradeable in the future, that won’t begin this year, meaning the Cowboys will be locked into those four picks.

We have DLawrence- TCrawford- CThornton- Gregory as starters

with Russell, Irving, TMcClain, Whaley as back-ups

I think we need another WDE and 3T

Russsel ,Whaley,Mcclain and even gregory are iffy to me and certainly could use a big upgrade.

Trade all our non compensatory picks for all 32 picks in the 6th round, or as many as possible. This way we will never hear how we missed a player in the 6th that turned out to be a star. Law of averages would put us in good position to land a few starters! Besides Ditka, who's with me?

Murray's contract wasn't worth third-round compensation, for one. And signing Hardy negated the fourth-round comp pick we would have gotten for Murray.

Oh okay. Why wasn't his contract worth 3rd round compensation?

Just curious.

The primary factor in determining the placement of comp picks is the average value of the player's contract. Murray got only $8.0 million per year, and the lowest third-round comp pick was for Julius Thomas, who got $9.2 million per year. Plus, Murray played less than 45 percent of the snaps for the Eagles, which is another factor.
