What are you writing the backend in? You can use that to send the files without allowing direct access to files in the directory. Even then you could use htaccess to limit who can access the files.

:confused:

Sorry sir, I don't speak spanish.

@P=split//,".URRUU\c8R";@d=split//,"\nrekcah xinU / lreP rehtona tsuJ";sub p{
@p{"r$p","u$p"}=(P,P);pipe"r$p","u$p";++$p;($q*=2)+=$f=!fork;map{$P=$P[$f^ord
($p{$_})&6];$p{$_}=/ ^$P/ix?$P:close$_}keys%p}p;p;p;p;p;map{$p{$_}=~/^[P.]/&&
close$_}%p;wait until$?;map{/^r/&&<$_>}%p;$_=$d[$q];sleep rand(2)if/\S/;print

To be clear, a nerd is anyone who knows more than me.

Thanks for a lot of the information provided thus far. I have another question:

This is supposed to be B2B. The idea being we take the photos, upload them on the server, and each respective course can download them and put them on their site as they see fit.

My question is, if we went with a web hosting company (Go daddy, for example), how would be go about transferring the pictures to the company while at the same time keeping them private from others. In other words, are you able to get access codes that we could give to each course that would allow them to access their respective photos from the web server?
The easiest way would be to zip up the files and upload the archive to the server and give them the link to that file. For a little more security you can password protect the archived file so that they will need the password from you to open it. Winrar is a good product for something like this. http://www.rarlab.com/

If you buy Adobe Photoshop Elements, how many computers can you download the software to?

One, unless you buy a site license or multiple copies.
