Is it just me or is anyone else a little concerned at Romo's "surly" disposition?

Hey, I'd be pissed off as well had I gotten embarrased like that on national TV. But the Romo I am used to seeing is unflappable, smiling, confident, and ready to take on the world. This Romo today, according to reports, was "surly", defensive, kind of off balance.

Is it possible the pressure of playing week to week, the demands of BP, the media and all that hubbub are starting to take its toll?

No, it is just you. Why do people try to read so much in to every little thing? Is it the desire to be able to go back in a week and start a chest thumping, I told you so thread? I just don't get it.

What happened when Romo and Owens bumped in the backfield prior to one play and Romo showed Owens to go out to the right ?

Anybody have an answer to this ?

I know I responded to my own post, :p: but I have asked this several times and have not gotten one response.

I think he just didn't know the play, and Romo put him in the correct place.

I posted this in another thread:

It could have been a couple of different things ...

1) Owens: I go left on this play ? ... Romo: no, you go out to the right.

2) Romo: Owens, you go left on this play, ... Owens: pauses and says I thought I was out to the right, ... Romo: my bad, you're right, go out to the right.

I was just curious if anyone knew for sure.

That was as bad a defeat as the Cowboys have had in many, many years. EVERY player on the team ought to be in a surly mood this week. That was downright embarrassing!!

That's the funniest thing I've read in a while. The smirk was starting to get on my nerves as well.

I think Romo should be irritiable because he had a poor game along with every other Cowboy!

No, I'm encouraged by it. He played less than he has been and the team lost, now he's surly. Personally I find that extremely promising.

He's surly because Parcells is putting the crappy game plan on Romo not being able to execute the alleged 'complex' offense as opposed to the fact that Romo was running play-action all of the fourth quarter despite being down twelve billion points...

If Romo failed, it was because they ran like 12 times on a weak Saints run defense, despite them averaging like 10 yards a carry...

The 'reduction' of complexity means Bill is going to run more.. he just won't say that it was his fault, as opposed to the 'players not executing'...

It's part of the competiveness. I'd rather have him surly than the stupid little smirk he always has. Little too giddy for me.

Would you rather have a surly guy with a chip on his shoulder that's anxious to get back at it next week or a guy like Aaron Brooks that smiles a mile wide with each additional interception thrown? I prefer the former.

I used to attend some Saints games and it was ridiculous watching this guy smile the way he did after tossing one right into the dback's bread basket. I guess people take adversity in vastly different ways.

No I wasn't going because I like the Saints. Let'e me make that crystal clear lol... My little brother used to play in the league.

don't care what our players do or say as long as they show up on sunday...(obviously to a certain extent, but the mass media does have a way of blowing up an innocent comment into something "team destroying")

Who gives a crap what expression the guy has on his face. We accuse espn with promoting an anti-TO campaign, yet, we care about the smile that Romo has on his face? His actions will speak louder than words this weekend. Let us wait and see until that moment...
