Conclusive/Inconclusive

Dez is a knucklehead and a loser. Just like Romo. Guys like this find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

if this palm came down before the fingers. He is still out of bounds if his fingers are out before a forearm, two feet, a knee, or his butt.

Point to the rule please.

Because that's the only way it makes it conclusive. From the picture taken at that angle, it appears that any part of his lower hand (not the fingers), like the palm or the side of the palm made contact the turf first before his fingers hit out of bounds. From that picture you can even assume the wrist hit first which would be part of the forearm.

Tackling someone isn't holding?
from NFL.com: Note 4: There can be no pass interference at or behind the line of scrimmage, but defensive actions such as tackling a receiver can still result in a 5-yard penalty for defensive holding, if accepted.

I think if they would have just knocked FJ on his *** it would have been ok but they tackled him. The refs blew that one.

Cool story. I feel your pain.

He was out of bounds. Bythatmuch.

Did you expect any different? I knew it the moment it happened.

I watched that replay several times and each time I come to the same conclusion, he was out of bounds.

I wish I could sit here and say the refs screwed up but if you want my honest opinion well then he was out of bounds when he came down.
I agree.

the only thing that surprised me was the ref 10 feet away called it a TD.

no way the ref standing behind Romo can see that, no way.

But why no fine issued? Does the NFL office not see it in replay because they are standing behind the TV screen?

Because there shouldn't be one?

Sure looked like the crown of the helmet went into Romo's face.

Someone pretty knowledgeable tells me that if a tackler's helmet strikes another player's pads AND THEN rides up to the players head it will be ruled incidental contact and not be called a foul. Can anyone refute this?

You can conclusively tell apart the shades of the gloves and the field, the endzone paint looks worn whereas the gloves Dez has on are fresh looking.

That photo sums up the past 6 years.

I think what sucked was that Dez wasn't able to pop up right away so we could run our field goal unit onto the field and quickly kick an extra point to keep the replay from ever happening. Don't tell me it's not possible I've seen the Saints do it like 2 or 3 times last year. That's what drives me crazy the most. When a questionable call occurs in your favor don't take your time to run the next play. Keep the replay out of the picture.
