Troy Aikman didn't have many comebacks. Mainly because he played well enough that his team was always ahead. If you look at the last 3.5 years, that's been the case more often than not as the Cowboys have been a pretty good team.

I know people will point out Staubach, but hey, there's only 1 Captain Comeback.

seattle:rolleyes:.

But he did put them in position to take the lead (the defense probably would have let the seahawks score again.) Too bad it was a greased up football!!!

But the games we lose are usually close (except for minny). So over the past few years we've had a chance to win almost any game, save for a few

when did madden start having real stats?

I think it means you have only lead 4 combacks.

That's disgraceful you noob. No turducken for you!

I'm always ahead so i don't need to comeback......

But it was clearly stating romo has 3 career 4th quarter comebacks. Not sure how reliable it is but thats what it said

I'm confident but I still realize Tony hasn't got all that gunslinger out of him. He threw an ill advised pick in the MN game and again last night. It's not completely out of him. And it's not just because he threw an interception. It was the quality of the interceptions. He's improved and I think he will be a SB winning QB at some point in his career.

I read it right, but it looks like it was wrong.... and it was madden 2010.

Good find.

I have a feeling your past feelings about Romo had a lot more to do with this thread than something you supposedly saw on Madden.

I love romo. I just saw that and thought it was surprising and then i started thinking about it. I was down on him after the first giants game, but since then he has completely turned it around. There are only a few quarterbacks in the league i would take over him

How many of you are confident with Romo when the game is on the line. I've always felt that he's a pretty good clutch player, but then i saw something last night. I was playing madden, i know i know, but they showed a stat at the bottom of the screen saying romo has 3 fourth quarter comebacks in his career.

I was playing the giants and it also said eli has 10 i think. For as long as Romo's been playing, 3 doesn't seem like very many. When i started to think about it, he seems to always move the team down the field at the end, but then they can't punch it in.

Look at the giants game in the playoffs a few years back. And the lions game at the end of the regular season that same year. Also, the pittsburgh game where he basically blew it. And what about the broncos game this year when he had miles open twice but threw the other way.

I'm not hating on romo because i am one of his biggest supporters, but i was surprised when i saw the stat and it really got me thinking.

Your Madden game doesn't include this season's games...

I am very confident Tony Romo is the least of Dallas problems. His work ethic and outlook are excellent. He is getting better. My bigger concern is getting more turnovers from DBs and getting younger at OL

Good question. I'm still confident in Romo and he is good at driving down the field late in the game, but especially this year the redzone scoring has been pretty bad. Had they punched it in on more of those drives it would have made a huge difference all year. The question is; is that on TR or Garrett or poor overall execution by the team or a combination of them? I don't think there's an easy answer.

Looking at the stats, Romo is above average but other QB have had much better results since 2006 and again it's definitely not all Romo's fault.
Peyton had 7 comebacks this year alone. Eli, Roflburger, Rivers and maybe others have had way more comeback games than Romo since 2006.
Romo has had more than Tom Brady or Drew Brees, but those teams almost always start strong and pile on points so rarely do they get behind.

The most worrisome thing about Romo for me is that he not lose confidence in protection and scramble too early. I would like to see a priority on pass protection for next year.
