How many of you are confident with Romo when the game is on the line. I've always felt that he's a pretty good clutch player, but then i saw something last night. I was playing madden, i know i know, but they showed a stat at the bottom of the screen saying romo has 3 fourth quarter comebacks in his career.

I was playing the giants and it also said eli has 10 i think. For as long as Romo's been playing, 3 doesn't seem like very many. When i started to think about it, he seems to always move the team down the field at the end, but then they can't punch it in.

Look at the giants game in the playoffs a few years back. And the lions game at the end of the regular season that same year. Also, the pittsburgh game where he basically blew it. And what about the broncos game this year when he had miles open twice but threw the other way.

I'm not hating on romo because i am one of his biggest supporters, but i was surprised when i saw the stat and it really got me thinking.

I read up to the point you mentioned you were playing Madden. I had to stop, get a drink, re-read the post and then I started laughing.

Really? You want to base your perception of Romo on Madden? If that's the case Detroit is a better team than anyone thought. You can demolish the Patriots, Giants, Colts and Steelers with the Lions ... if you are playing Madden.

The definition of a comeback quarterback is peyton manning. If he has the ball for the last drive, he is going to score a touchdown, no matter who he's playing.

i also get nervous with Romo. but we gotta compare him to who we had before. (quincy, henson, drew, testa, etc.) makes me a TONY BELIEVER in ANY SITUATION. i want none of those other QBs' lol

You really need to determine how many chances Romo has had making 4th quarter comebacks, compared to his peers. For example, losing a game in the last few minutes hardly gives Romo a fair shot at a comeback victory, so you need to establish some reasonable parameters first.
