Gutsy call by Coach Sparano on 4th and 1. Looks like BP's guys took a 1-15 team and made them into a playoff team in one year. Kudos to those guys.

It isn't coincidence when Sparano left our offense started to suck. Sparano made that explosive offense last year.. Jason Garrett got to much credit for the little role he played

I feel like an idiot for ever bashing and questioning Parcells' ways. The guy knows how to win, and we may have another ring if he was still here.

Parcells did nothing here people. Let's see waht happens in miami next year when they are expected to win and they have a harder schedule. Miami fans better enjoy it this year. Ohh did i mention Tom brady will be back next year.

I remember being sad when he left. I though he should've stayed for one more year.

Oh well.

Bingo! Chad Pennington will be a year older, and they'll have QB problems all over again.

Tuna and Sporano better find a good QB in the draft next year.

It was also great seeing Drama Queen Favre run off the field without shaking Penningtons hand. I'm pretty sure that was his last game. Miami really put together a solid formula for winning this year.

Lets clear things up here Parcell's as a coach was done he was burnt toast his last year here

The issue was what Jerry chose to replace Bill with. I wanted one of the young up and coming coaches but Jerry decided he wanted a Headcoach with prior experience the problem was his two finalist where complete and utter failures at not just one team but for 2 teams.

jerry blew it when he looked at guys Like Norv and Wade

Wow, talk about sour grapes hatin'. Give the Dolphins their due. They won their division by taking care of business. They rebounded from 1-15 and are now in the playoffs.

They also did it with our coaching staff.

Pretty sad. We let the wrong coaches go. Or more-so, look what our coaches can do with a little bit of responsibility ... instead of having Jerry Jones meddling.

Congrats, Bill. The difference is that in Miami, he has an owner who pays he bills and stays the heck out of the way. If Bill was allowed to get rid of malcontents, or make them fear getting cut, who knows what he could have done here.

You mean the owner who bought into the team in 1990 and took over as the managing owner in 1993 after Joe Robbie died.

One year less than Jerry Jones. He even had the coach Jerry had the most success with. Like Jerry he fired a coaching legend, Don Shula. Let's see how he stacks up.

Don Shula...1990-95
Jimmy Johnson...1996-99
Dave Wannstedt...2000-04
Jim Bates...2004
Nick Saban...2005-06
Cam Cameron...2007
Tony Sparano...2008

1990...12-4, 1-1
1991...8-8
1992...11-5, 1-1, AFCE Champ
1993...9-7
1994...10-6, 1-1, AFCE Champ
1995...9-7, 0-1
1996...8-8
1997...9-7, 0-1
1998...10-6, 1-1
1999...9-7, 1-1
2000...11-5, 1-1, AFCE Champ
2001...11-5, 0-1
2002...9-7
2003...10-6
2004...4-12
2005...9-7
2006...6-10
2007...1-15
2008...11-5, ???, AFCE Champ

I see no Super Bowls, 4 division championships, a 6-9 post season record, same number of coaching changes, fewer wins.

Yeah, that is a model of efficiency over there.

This is cute but what does it have to do with the point being made by the poster you quoted?

I believe his point was that the combination of Parcells and and owner who is not as hands-on as JJ has proven to be a good one in it's first year.

The previous 17 years of history between the owner and the other coaches has absolutely nothing to do with this point.

A friend of mine is a Dolphins fan and he refuses to give Parcells any credit for the turnaround. He says it's all Sparano. He does deserve a lot of the credits but Parcells was pulling the strings. :D
