Congrats to OU

I stayed out of it last night after OU defeated OSU only because there was simply nothing else that could be added to the discussion. What's been said has already been repeated a thousand times over and there was nothing (and I mean absolutely NOTHING) that could be said that was going to change the minds or hearts of us (the fans) on who should be going to the Big XII Championship. It was out of our hands at that point with the responsibility going to the human pollsters and those gosh-darn computers - and they have finally spoken.

So congrats to OU and do your best to represent us well. In fact, good luck to all the Big XII teams that are going to a bowl game this year. As fans, we should all be loud and proud of the fact that the bowls will be well-represented this year by our conference.

Rowdy, you know what chaps my hide......UT and OU have been 1-2 in the Big 12 basically since Brown and Stoopes have come along.

IMO, the two best teams should play for the Conference Title. Imagine how good that game would be if those two could go at it.....

There was no way Colorado deserved the Big 12 CG in 2005 over OU. Unfortunately though, in the current Big 12 makeup, either UT or OU gets screwed......

I don't usually ever root for Texas, but I'll be rooting for them in their BCS game this year and if we happen to choke against Mizzou, I'll be rooting for y'all in the Orange Bowl.

OU and Texas are the two best teams in the country, IMO. I think Florida or Bama are in for a rude awakening, but we'll see.

ya congrats to OU, maybe at least this whole fiasco and obama can get us some sort of playoff system. now i think it defends how well bradford plays against missouri to see if he can win the heisman. i think if he struggles and tebow destroys alabama tebow will win it. if both struggle i think colt will win it. if bradford and tebow both play great i think bradford will get it, he is ahead right now.

Too bad Bama couldnt lose to Auburn, ** lose to FSU, and then ** beat Bama......and I like Bama....

But that would have given both 2 losses and dropped them from any opportunity to play for the National title. It would have moved OU and Texas to the top 2 spots in the BCS. I am not sure if they would have been allowed to play one another for the Championship, but if so, that would have been sweet.

But I don't have to tell you that this one hurts (hurts real bad). When I think how our own destiny slipped through the fingertips of Gideon when he had the chance to catch that super-easy int that would've sealed the victory for UT against Tech - I get sick. uke:

Now that it looks like we won't be playing ** or 'Bama in the NC, I wouldn't mind seeing UT take on PSU (which I believe we lost to back in '95 or '96). I also wouldn't mind the Longhorns getting it on against USC for a 2005 rematch when the NC was on the line.

No doubt the best matchup is going to be OU against the Gators. I think that's what the nation wants to see (I know I do), and God knows it's going to be one hell of a game - I just hope that it can live up to the hype it's going to receive.

If Alabama loses to Florida, wouldn't they still be in the running for a BCS bowl?

That would be a better matchup than playing Ohio State, I'd think.

My guess would be Texas/Utah, though.

Not good...not good at all. I'd much rather see a PSU/'Bama/**/USC matchup then the Buckeyes. I can't help but think that others would agree. Of all the projected BCS matchups, this one would be the least interesting (imo).
