Normally, I'd be lined-up with the rest of the sportsmanship-rich rivals who regularly post in this forum to offer congrats as well.

Unfortunately, there's one poster in particular who's left such a bad taste in my mouth with their agenda towards me, it's better I just say nothing. (noooooo, not you Dallas, don't flatter yourself... You, I hate just on principle!! :p:)

Thanks for making this such an enjoyable place to come and exchange GOOD-NATURED opinions on friend. You're a real class act!

Rowdy, you know what chaps my hide......UT and OU have been 1-2 in the Big 12 basically since Brown and Stoopes have come along.

IMO, the two best teams should play for the Conference Title. Imagine how good that game would be if those two could go at it.....

There was no way Colorado deserved the Big 12 CG in 2005 over OU. Unfortunately though, in the current Big 12 makeup, either UT or OU gets screwed......

How do you figure CU didnt deserve it they did win the Big 12 Championship game didnt they? That is just sour grapes.

OU deserves to play for a National Championship they are one of the top 2 teams in the country without a doubt.

The sad thing is a playoff of Alabama, OU, UT, Florida, USC and TT or whoever would be pretty darn exciting to watch.

You know Poke. We all really need to remember why we are on this board to begin with. You are one of my good buddies and we give it to each other every year regarding Texas and Oklahoma. That has been going on for years now, and Im glad to be part of it. :p:

What has happened today has brought out the ugly in some. I hope they realize that and try and fix how they are posting.

I never try and bust on Texas to hard. I really don't try to bust on Texas at all. They are top 3 in the nation for sure. That is fact.

I am taking the postings from those who support Texas w/ a grain of salt right now. They have a legit gripe and I certainly won't stand in the way of that.

I just hope we all can understand the rooted emotions involved w/ our respective teams and post accordingly.

Don't go out trying to be mean and poke a stick in the eye of your fellow forum mates.

Hook....e...erm..Hooook.... that longhorn thing you say. :D

What's sad is the two teams playing for the big 12 were both beat by Texas. No offense to OK but UT in reality will be the best team and no matter what happens the truth will still be there

Heck, I'll call you out right here in front of everyone. You make threads saying that OU will NOT leapfrog Texas and then get a LOL type of reaction and freak out when you put yourself in the spotlight for it. You should get a response. In my case it was a good laugh. Don't post threads like that and you wont open yourself up for ridicule. It's that simple.:)

I realize that does sound screwy. There's obviously more to the equation than that but it is an unreasonable pill to swallow. OU and Texas should be playing to see who goes to the National Championship Game.

How do you figure it's sour grapes when, in fact, UT did stomp a mudhole on unranked CU in the 2005 Big XII Championship, 70-3? Do you think it's possible that you have mistakenly confused 2005 with 2001 where a 9th ranked CU upset a heavily favored UT, 39-37?

Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford tore ligaments in his non-throwing hand during the Sooners' win against Oklahoma State and is expected to have surgery following the Big 12 championship game.

Oklahoma will be without middle linebacker Austin Box, who sprained a ligament in his left knee, for the next three to four weeks. Stoops said Mike Balogun, who replaced Box on Saturday night, will be the replacement.

Balogun will be the Sooners' third starting middle linebacker this season. Starter Ryan Reynolds had a season-ending knee injury against Texas, and safety Nic Harris filled in for a week before Box was ready to play.

So take OU out of the equation, how does Texas deserve to go over Texas Tech?

You know, everybody acts like it's the fault of Texas that Tech is not in the equation. The truth of the matter is that they really should have lost earlier in the season to Nebraska. Secondly, they didn't show up in Norman. Lastly, they struggled against Baylor in a game they needed to show something. Yeah, they were 9-1 but lets be honest here, they are out of it because they played themselves out. Simple as that.

Ah so NOW its ok to bring up time lines and such with other teams. What about the most recent time line where your winning out against Oklahoma came earlier before we blasted the team that served you defeat? That's because when you lose during the season makes all the difference.

Well, now Texas isn't in the equation either... and that's not Oklahoma's fault.

I don't understand how Texas fans can say, "ignore Texas Tech, because they're ranked too low" and then complain when the same ranking system places them below Oklahoma.

so is calling me out and accusing me of having sour grapes when I was actually defending a team i absolutely loathe....

if you go back and look at the Big 12 Standings since 1999, I bet that out of those 10 years.....UT and OU shared the top 2 records in all but about 2-3 years.
