And I'm just laughing that people are saying its Ware, when more of that Denver defense can be attributed to Wade who was throwing multiple looks at the Pats offense.

This is the same guy in San Diego who made Brady turn the ball over five times in the AFC championship game and should have won, if their idiot DB didn't fumble the last INT in field goal territory for the Pats.

Ware wouldn't have done anything here. It was actually better for him to move on to Denver and play limited snaps.

People act like him staying here would have magically helped the team. We scored like 1 TD in the red-zone this season. Let that awfulness sink in..

Wade is not a good head coach--period. Wade plus Jerry trying to protect his hand picked golden boy was an utter disaster.

The main problem is, we couldn't see what Wade could have done without a head-coach in training breathing down his neck. We had three winning seasons while wasting Romo's best years on offense. And if we didn't have Garrett, we basically could have cleaned house all over but the Garrett experience continues. That's the biggest problem with the whole thing.

And the year we actually won a play-off game, is when Wade actually took over defensive play-calling and we were the second-ranked defense. So to act like we never has a great defense here is bogus.

Plus, the year we were 13-3, it was the offense that was figured out and where we were struggling. The team tried arguing this was because of TOs high-ankle sprain, but our passing game was figured out. We tried getting Romo a passing record against the woeful Commanders in the last game, but absolutely sucked.

And against the Giants, our offense was struggling the whole game. Even the pass that Crayton dropped in the first half, if you watch it again, it was a broken play, Romo buys times breaking off left, avoiding the rush and Craytom breaks his route. It had nothing to do with Garrett's 'passing game' to get him open. And Marion Barber was essentially keeping is alive that game with amazing running.

The general concensus was he would disappear at times and was becoming injury prone and was paid to be a elite passer. His last 3 years in Dallas he sack count went from 19.5 to 11.5 to 6.

And he had 10 and 7.5 for DEN the last 2 years.

That is with Von Miller taking most of the protections and going back to a 3-4.

Ware didn't leave for more money. He didn't ask for a raise. The Cowboys asked him to take a cut and he didn't. I don't fault either party. Why would Ware take a pay cut when a team was willing to still pay him 10+ million a year? A contender at that?

Ware had never made what he was scheduled to make in 2014. That is called a raise and not a pay cut. DAL only asked him to stay at the level he had been getting paid.

DEN offered 10m a year with 20m guaranteed which was MORE money.

Those last 2 years on Ware's deal were those phony salary cap years that make the deal look bigger and help when prorating the signing bonus and restructures,

Just like Romo. His next 4 scheduled years are: 8.5m, 14m, 19.5m and 20.5m. DAL had no intentions on paying Romo 19.5m in 2018. That would be a RAISE just like Ware, for a player past his prime.

If Wade's tenure was an utter disaster, then what would you call Garrett's?

Wade is/was a better HC than Jason and that isn't saying much.

You don't have to love Wade (as a head coach) to know Garrett is terrible. Wade was a mistake, compounded by the Garrett experience.

The consensus around here and many in the media about letting Ware go was it was better to let him leave a year early than a year late. FWIW I still believe that to be true. Ware could totally break down after the Super Bowl. It is the same reason many here wanted to let Murray walk.

I wish Demarcus Ware all the best and hope he gets his ring in Supe 50 - but I don't regret the Cowboys' decision to release him. It was time to rebuild the defense and they didn't want to pay a situational pass rusher that kind of money.
