1,000 ÷ 16 = 62.5

1,000 yards is not a major milestone anymore. 1,200 is a good year. 1,500 is a great year. IMO.

To be fair, he was 1631 in 2016 and 1434 in 2018. 2017 the only year so far he hasn't hit 1000, he ended up at 983 and that was the year he was suspended 6 games. So he averaged 98.3 yards per game putting him on a pace for 1572.

so far this year he is on a pace for about 1350 yards if he keeps pace.

I think it's a testimony of how good he's been that he's on pace for 1350 yards and people are talking about him like he's totally washed up.

And Kyle is running the scheme his father ran. Zeke would be too if Kyle was his coach.

The build model is obvious, just look at the 49ers for example.
They have a great running game but they don't sale the farm to pay one RB.
They got 3 in Matt Brieda, Tevin Coleman, and Raheem Mostert.
All three of those RBs combined salaries are inconsequential compared to the truck load of cap deflating money Jerry deposited into Zekes bank acct.
You see,, I have never said that Zeke wasn't a good/great RB,, all Ive ever said is that there is a different way to win this game.
This is a salary cap game vs talent league, and you have to be smart enough to have some composure and not have the best of the best, because the cap will not support any team having the best of the best and pay top dollar for the best of the best.

Hey, Golden...and what a disappointing bowl of mess this season has turned out. The whole team has played at less than top shelf tough...and that affects Zeke Elliott as well.

look dude, everyone knows this but there are 3 left and he nearly had 1k in 10 games in 17... zekes not the issue.. as matter of fact last 4 games he has huge first halves and we get behind and forget who pour betst player was in the first half.. zeke could have easily had 130-150 in the GB, Bills, NE, and CHi games had it not been for the defense and poor passing getting us in the playing from way behind game where zeke goes MIA..

these are facts hes was averaging over 6YPC all those first halves had 60-75 yards by halftime.. then 6-8 carries after..

thats not zeke as much as the blind troll haters wearing his contact blinders want to overstate his digression.. ive seen much of the season same old Zeke..

its not him..he will have 1200 maybe 1300 and 12 tds and that in a down year for him for reasons NOT in his control.. id say he will be fine..

Zeke is going to have a good year every year. But we need those great years from him in order to be a contender.
how not in pass happy offense most of the season or getting down do to bad defense and the run game in the 2nd halves of games gets buried on the bench..

He taps out every time he runs two plays in a row.

Emmitt never did that.
Emmitt also practiced under a real HC who wouldnt let him act that way. Urban if he comes in here will have Zeke having his best season in the NFL.

Why would we want a coach who was covering up for domestic violence coaching a running back who was suspended for domestic violence?

Oh get off your high horse. Jimmy Johnson had a lot of issues going on as well. Didnt seem to bother you when the Lombardi was in Dallas did it?

Zeke was about the only Cowboy who showed up last night (that, and I respect Amari for even trying to play. Subbing in for a drive, getting pulled out with an injury, and going in the next series... that's toughness). I'm sure the haterade is going to flow freely cause it's a CZ Zeke thread, but he's been playing well for the last couple weeks.

And that's the problem...Pass Happy. The staff needs to wake up and realize Zeke is the horse pulling the wagon. I can pretty much guarantee you everytime he crosses that 1,500 yard mark we'll be in the hunt for a first round bye.

Yup way to go fat Zeke. Rack up some stats, tons of cash then off to Cabo to waste away until next year.

Are you ready for the 24/7 onslaught of 10,000 stories about that ugly scene at Ohio State if they hire him?

It'll be all they talk about nationally.

Plus, he's just a really good recruiter. How does that help us?

The coaches very well could have told Zeke before the season started that if he is tired a little to tap out. Because they now have a good backup in Pollard. The coaches would rather have 100% Pollard than a 85% Zeke. Not to pile on the coaches but this was probably a coaches thing. In year's past I rarely ever saw Zeke tap out. Somehow by week 14 of the season he is still out of shape??? I am not buying that.

Zeke is a great RB. He's just not a generational back like he was in 2016. I'd like 2016 Zeke back, but the Cowboys are going to settle for 2017-2019 Zeke while paying top dollar.
