Conner Williams Sucks

So does Conner. If we had a 2016 R Leary, it would be back & forth instead of complete domination.

He's been fine most of this year. No he's not great, probably never will be. He had been grading out as our 2nd best linemen so far.

Total liability, off the bench in fill in, I am 100% ok with. Definitely not a starter. He gets bulldozed regulary.

How good is McClay in such player evaluations? Poe , Conner , Taco , etc etc . Why is he so highly praised when all we see is lack of talent

Because we're damn lucky to have him and you will move on to another topic.

At least we haven’t paid him...............yet...

Now the last sack on 4th down wasn't him. He had the dudes up in his grill and the refs didn't throw the flag

Nuff said.....
I can't recall the last time I watched a grown man get shoved back so hard by one hand. One hand.

The defender was holding CW's Jersey at the neckline and might have had his hand inside on the shoulder pads.

That made it impossible for CW to get the defenders hand off.

Then the defender horse-collar tackled the QB.

I have zero idea why they won’t move him to tackle. Give it a shot.

He's not very good but at least we're not paying him $15 million a year. And we're probably playing him at the wrong position like we did with Byron Jones for years.

He has been “bulking up” for two years? And still getting manhandled

Yeah he's kind of a bust. At this point I would view him as OK depth but not a starter.

He’s was never gonna be a good guard. He’s a quick lean body Tackle that should have been developed as our swing tackle since day 1. He’s should be taking on 260 pound DEs and OLB. Not 300 plus pound DTs.

He was a reach pick. He’s an average nfl guard at best.

Williams is a finesse college T lined up at G. He's gotten better at G, but he just doesn't have the power to hold up against powerful DTs.

This is something to keep in mind when drafting those Ts to project to G. G takes more power, particularly in the NFL. You can't project that guy unless he projects to develop the necessary power.

Still think he'd be more useful at T. Yes, the arms aren't long as you like, but he has good feet.

Williams just didn't project that well to the NFL. Not enough power for a good G, not enough length for a good T. Low ceilings on a top college T one considered a 1st round talent.

I’m disgusted by the fact that he’s the most protected guy on the team. He’s never had even an average season in 3 years and he continues to start. It makes no sense.

Especially this year, with McGovern behind him. McGovern has played well too.

He got man handled. He should have a seat on the bench for a while.
