I can't recall the last time I watched a grown man get shoved back so hard by one hand. One hand.
He is one of biggest weak links even in the backup O line we have at the moment.

IIRC McClay reportedly graded TJ Watt higher but was ultimately overruled by Marinelli. How good is McClay in such player evaluations? Poe , Conner , Taco , etc etc . Why is he so highly praised when all we see is lack of talent
Heyward is a beast. There should have been RB to chip up on that play. I would have had Gilbert roll away from the pocket.

Poe was once a good player who was worth a kick of the tires. It didn't work.
Williams represents a scouting failure but I don't know how much we know about McClay's involvement there.
From 2010-2019, 7 out of 9 first round picks have made the pro bowl at some point. That's a great hit rate. The exceptions were Charlton, which can be attributed to Marinelli, and Morris Claiborne.

if this is true , then basically the blame is on Marinelli and Jerry . Th JJ Watt miss is amazing . I think marinalli also wanted Trysten .which remains to be evaluated fully.IIRC McClay reportedly graded TJ Watt higher but was ultimately overruled by Marinelli.

sorry he is OT
So....the evaluation of Williams - a two-time All-American OT in college- to project him as suitable to move to OG in the NFL..plus select him in the 2nd round \no. 50 overall to boot --was a big mistake?I have zero idea why they won’t move him to tackle. Give it a shot.
first time watching Williams? lolAfter one game?! Well I can think of 7 games just this year that shows we don’t need your boy zeke.
Regardless of whether his draft selection should have been lower due to his injury and projected switch to guard...Yeah I geniuely have zero idea what the hype around him was
His NFL draft profile was literally "Great Freshman year, SOPHMORE SLUMP, and then injured Junior year. IF he can stay healthy and IF he can switch positions and IF he can return to freshman form he could be a good NFL starter".
That's literally the draft profile of a 4th or 5th rounder, not a top 50 pick........
dont tell that to the experts here they know more then any coach or gm ever assembled..i mean they watch the games they must be experts..Connor has a pff grade of a 69.9...the second highest grade on our offensive line.
...that's what I was yelling, bootleg out........bootleg out.. That's something not being expected.Heyward is a beast. There should have been RB to chip up on that play. I would have had Gilbert roll away from the pocket.
Yeah I know some people are just too smart for their own good. I won’t sit here and say Conned is a great football player but his play doesn’t warrant a thread calling him out. This place is just wierd.dont tell that to the experts here they know more then any coach or gm ever assembled..i mean they watch the games they must be experts..
To be fair a top 50 pick grading out better than an injured center and 2 undrafted rookie tackles isn't really something that's worth bragging about.Connor has a pff grade of a 69.9...the second highest grade on our offensive line.
It's one of those context matters.Yeah I know some people are just too smart for their own good. I won’t sit here and say Conned is a great football player but his play doesn’t warrant a thread calling him out. This place is just wierd.
The most economical post ever, and completely true!Nuff said.....
