Our defense played arguably as bad as they possibly could.

Romo's play was pretty putrid as well.

Yet, when it was all said and done, the big bad, class of the NFC Giants could only squeak out a 2 point win.

Listen, the bottom line is this, NFL seasons are long. Marathons not sprints. The Cardinals went to the Super Bowl last year, despite some ridiculous regular season losses.

The Eagles almost went to the Super Bowl, despite a mid-season QB benching and tie-game at Cincinatti.

Pittsburgh won the Super Bowl despite getting demolished by the Titans late in the year, as well as an ugly early season loss to the Eagles in the begining of the year.

We lost to a good opponent. But we have a chance to win three in a row and head to our bye at 4-1.

Consider this: The team peaked in Oct 07 and has been on the decline since the Patriot game.

The loss in itself isn't that bad, after all it is a long time until January. However the stupid mistakes that plague this team are what is so discouraging. Those mistakes are game changers that kill your chances of winning games like last night. And until I see a change of attitude from this team resulting in a sense of urgency and mistake free football i'm going to relegate them to loser status with Romo being the leader of the pack.

I agree with what you're saying, and games like these are the ones that if the team has heart you'll see it. This is totally different from one of our losses in December. We have plenty of games left. Hell, we're only 1 game behind in the NFC East as of now. There's plenty of time. Romo's still, IMO, a good-to-great QB, he just needs to work on protecting the ball. We can still do this, and while this game sucks (I would know as much as anyone, I was at the game and completely lost my voice), the season's far from over.

One of the more alarming things is the lack of any turnovers or sacks. It would really be nice for our defense to become like one of the elite defenses that can actually generate points for the offense.

Gotta give credit to Eli, also. Our secondary did have a terrible game (let's just say, being at the game, Steve Smith had a few plays where he was wide open deep and Eli completely missed him), but unlike Romo, Eli drove the bus. Romo just needs to learn when to settle down. Every QB has a bad game, and hopefully Romo got it out of his system.

There are plenty of things to be considered and all that jazz. Right now I just want to see this team start improving in all areas from week to week and stop helping the other team beat them.

Correct. I know how the Bills felt against the Patriots. Bonehead plays cost us the game.

I agree with that but its not always that cut and dry.

Was the 94 Cowboys a bad team? Was the 07 Patriots a bad team?

I still have faith in this team ..... I just do not in our head coach.

And I hate feeling that way.

And when we lost to Miami due to the Lett fumble we were a bad team?
