I also dont think there O wont be on the field that much because they cant stop our run. Make no mistake, we wouldnt even be talking about the Pats right now if Atlanta and Seattle werent terribly stupid.

Counter-point: the Cowboys coach is Jason Garrett.

Cooks is only 23 and is coming off back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons. He's under contract in 2017 and has a 5th year team option in 2018.

If you are going to burn draft picks on a player, this is the kind of guy you do it for, holy crap.

Side note, Brady had the best passer rating in the league on go routes in 2016, and that's when he was throwing to Chris "who?" Hogan as his main deep target. Cooks ran a 4.3 40. So... yeah.

Yeah I hate the Pats, but its a good deal for them.

I'm a Pat hater, but I'm not a blind homer either.

The laugh is on the league. They'll trade Garappolo and get two early #1 and #2 picks

Never understood why people use the pats as a model of stable NFL franchise that aren't aggressive in FA... they've made huge signings and trades for names like Moss, Revis, Talib, etc

Most seasons they ARE boring. They just pick their spots to go big. This year they had $60 million in cap space and could afford to grab the best CB on the market and trade for one of the better deep threats in football.

Honestly i'd not be pleased with trading a 1st and a 3rd for Cooks. Would people rather have Cooks who you're about to commit big money to or Fredrick and Williams.

Just for perspective...

Let's be honest, if the Cowboys traded a 1st and 3rd for Cooks anyone reasonable would be angry. That's totally over paying for the player. He's not Julio Jones.

Maybe....but being honest

The Pats are better than they were with this trade.....giving up pick 32 & 103 isn't over paying IMO
