Nice read. Thank for sharing.

I especially agree with this part...

"If Prescott was drafted No. 4 overall by the Cowboys instead of No. 135, there would be more buy-in that this fast start is no fluke."

There are so many attempts to explain away what we have at QB right now because of where he was drafted. Some are still in disbelief while others like myself are just thankful.

Definitely a great read. I posted this in the QB section yesterday since I wasn't sure if it was allowed in this one.

Hopefully it actually gets some traction here because Dak deserves it.

Sadly, there's been a lot of that right here on this forum.

There would be, but I think a healthy dose of skepticism is warranted for him and Wentz. A hot start to a career does not make for a career.

I love what I'm seeing right now. I'm enjoying every moment of it. But I try not to think beyond the moment because I don't know where Dak's start will lead. Some are ready to crown him. I'm a little cautious about that. Plenty of careers have flamed out after looking so promising. I don't think that will be the case with Prescott both because of the poise he has shown and because of this offense being built around its line and running game. However, I'd rather not think about him being the future and just think about the next step, which is Green Bay. Let's see what he shows us in that game and then move to the next step.

I guess what I'm saying is ... it's a process. (Clap, clap, clap)

Are you going to other teams' message boards or something to see people minimizing what Dak has done in Dallas? I'm seeing none of that. Literally every Cowboys fan I know of is thrilled about Dak, and almost every opposing team's fans grudgingly admit he's the real deal. Even PHI fans, who don't want to believe it. NFL former players, ESPN analysts. Everybody.

Even on other teams message boards (I'm all over r/NFL) Dak is getting high praise by most fans.

I don't get these posts, either, Idgit. It reeks of baiting fandom/feuds for no reason. Or just being dramatic for no reason.

It's refreshing having a franchise QB that is almost universally raved about and respected (not that Tony didn't deserve the same, because he did).

Man I have to confess bro, I was a Dak naysayer before the season started. Winicki called me out on it and I had to eat crow. I was being loyal to Romo cause he's my boy but since then Dak has impressed and won me over. But I admit I had my doubts.

Since I'm in confession, I might as well confess the 4-1 start surprised me as well. Anything else....oh and I thought Arizona would be good this year. Oh and I cut in line in front of an old lady who couldn't decide what to eat at McDonald's. I feel bad

Personally, I wouldn't mind reading or listening to examples of the current disbelief. Not saying it doesn't exist. Lord knows some people get stuck in ruts (take my stance on Terrell Owens for example :) ) but I sincerely doubt the numbers are significant.

We've all had to eat crow of some sort this season, Loc (well a great deal of us, and those being honest with themselves).

I had Crow ala Zeke, myself, and it was most excellent :)
