Cool pic + Marcus Spears questions who is there *merged*

And is that the point? He made a very valid observation.

There is a legitimate caste system in that locker room. Certain players are royalty. It has been that way for quite a while.

He is not the first player who has made the observation. And of course, players who say these things are bashed even if they are simply expressing their perception. And it is far more valid that what you, me or any other fan can make because, well, they have lived it. If Spears is noting this, chances are pretty strong someone else feels it as well.

Let's not act like if it were Robert Griffin III following Daniel Snyder around that people would not take it a certain way.
This is why I always take those "rosy" comments from Dez/others towards Garrett/Romo with a grain of salt. They have no choice but to be "rosy", when you see pics like this every offseason and you realize the political power they have in the organization.

When I look at the bonds, legitimate bonds, that players like Irvin, Aikman, Smith, Johnston and others shared with each other back on those teams and then compare that to Witten and Romo, it just does not appear to be the same. There seems to be a little less of a wide reaching clique.

It is far more exclusive. I said it then, the Owens/Crayton/keeping it real Wednesday thing was a product of what may have been perceived as favoritism between Garrett towards Romo/Witten.

Let's put it like this, when and if any of these guys make it into the HOF, don't expect any tears to be shed over each other during the induction speeches like you saw with the 90s guys.

laughing my tail off at you guys. What about all the pics of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning doing things like this. Were any of their team mates around?

Spears is full of crap as usual.

Irsay and Kraft toted Manning and Brady, Belichick and Dungy plus their favorite tight end everywhere? Must have missed that.

Pretty awesome picture...you can tell that Romo and Witten are pretty much lifetime members of the family. Garrett too.

Robert Griffin gets more special treatment that any young player that I can recall in decades. What are you talking about?

You don't think Troy and Emmitt and Michael had that?

Jimmy even came out and said so.

Of course, if you say "they earned it"..well, I would have to agree. :)

Blame Jerry. He's the one doing the invites. Wants to be surrounded by the "guys". Wants the spotlight by association. It's the "look at me" mentality that rubs people off. Nothing accomplished on the field mind you, but we're relevant no matter what. 8-8 into oblivion.

As a privileged member myself. I applaud the group having a good time in the house Jerry built.

Boy, that would just make you so happy.......here's to them disappointing you, cheers

Yeah and his answer at QB is always just a few posts away. Cheers to them is right. It's a great pic that I'm sure most of us would like to be a part of.

I think the circle was bigger back then. Today you have Romo-Witten and everybody else. Trust, if Spears notices it then the players in the locker room notice it as well.

Jimmy Johnson said this, "I will be very consistent. I will treat every player differently." He went on to talk about a player he cut for falling asleep in a team meeting, and said if it had been Aikman falling asleep he'd have told someone to get him a pillow.

The only wrong message is that any Cowboys player can't be there. Witten was a 3rd round pick, Romo undrafted. They earned the respect they are getting. It wasn't just handed to them.
