Thanks. I’d suppose it depends on how he handles it. I can’t say first hand, but I would figure it’s not a simple transition.

Would be nice to plug him in there though. If there’s a positive to see overall, they now have nice young options on the OL and flexibility.
Saw a tweet that duke manyweather has been working him pre draft and they also did some center drills and duke said he was a natural for what that's worth. Still lots of work to put in.

His arms are really short sure but it works fine because he is huge, powerful and has great feet. Just a very difficult guy to work around. Best pick of the draft.
They are NOT THAT SHORT. About an inch. Players have done quiet well especially inside with those length of arms. Tackle is where it really matters

seems to me that he had been told by a few teams that he was a better prospect if he could play center. It will not be easy to be NFL starter level at center by the beginning of the regular season but it has happened so we must hold our thumbs. I have no real confidence that Hoffman can be any more than Phil Costa was

Yeah same with guyton going to left side and being raw but after the staff getting Tyler Smith ready to go rookie year I'm at least not doubtful and borderline hopeful.

IF Steele does not seriously up his game he could still end up at RT

I was actually making light of the short arm stuff. Who cares what his arms look like? He can play.

Not sure if he is the best OG in the draft, but i think he is the best pick in this Cowboys draft......and the most ready to start from day one. Hopefully Guyton picks things up quick and gets to start as well. I like both of their nasty demeanor on the field, along with Tyler Smith. OL getting a mean, aggressive streak which i like, but within the rules. I like vanilla like anyone else, but sometimes gotta have some Rocky Road, Pistachio, Chocolate Peanut butter.......yeahhhh BaaaBByyyyy:yourock:
I said in another thread, I think he’s the safest pick we made in the entire draft.

How does it happen every year that someone drafted in the 3rd or mid round is the best at their position. Outside of JPJ at 44, who’s actually a C or Isaiah Adams at 71. Dallas got their choice of OGs in the 3rd round. That’s pretty amazing.

It's been reported that he took about 100 snaps a week in practice at center.

He says he feels comfortable at center.

He is our best pick in this draft. Gotta say I was pissed when we passed on Graham Barton— but getting Guyton and Beebe via the trade is really, really solid

We will obviously see how the players develop over the next few years- but if Guyton and Beebe hit their ceilings, the trade away from Barton would be more than worth it
Trading 1 pick into 2 is a played out strategy used in NFL drafts. Its not creative and i would never give it merit anymore.

this FO is trash and doesnt deserve any credit for being anything since they have not won a Super Bowl.

"good job" is the most destructive phrase in human language.

Yes. Outstanding pick!

His resume is impressive.

All American/All Conf.

Amazing he didn’t get picked sooner by another team.

How lucky can we get?
Trading back paid off. It set up perfectly.

I am as frustrated as anyone with this team’s flaws and their response following yet another horrific showing in the playoffs.

If we are gonna criticize em when they get things wrong, then we can also give em credit when they get something right.

I don’t think this is an amazing draft haul. But in my opinion, they did get better along the OL.

Guyton will need to grow into the role, but he has a lot of upside. Decent pick at 29.

But I love the Beebe pick. Love it. I think he starts for us at C and has the power, anchor, and nasty attitude we need in the interior to dominate in the running game.

Of course, we don’t have a decent RB on the roster, but that’s another story
