Very true. I still think Dak is better personally. Right now, even if his thumb is healed. He's very stiff and hasn't had practice time. I'd still play Rush.

Watching Mahomes against TBay I could only shake my head. His quick release, decisiveness, fearlessness and creativity. Complete command of all he surveys. I've been watching some '92 - '93 games and Aikman showed the same type of thing (minus the ability to run like Mahomes). There was a high level of command and competence.

I'm not sure if we will see that from Prescott until late in the season...if at all. The preseason put him behind the eight ball, and the thumb injury put him in an even worse place. Meanwhile, Rush has established a rapport with the receivers while winning three straight. If Prescott struggles when he returns then this putative controversy could become something real...and dangerous for him.

Dak had a QBR of 60.5 last year which put him around Cousins, Carr, and Garoppolo. 83.8 QBR would be astronomically high. Where are you getting this? That's going by ESPN

If we go by PFF, Dak barely inched his way into the top 10 with a QBR of 76.3. The only QBs above 80 going by PFF are Rodgers and Brady.

actually about 7-8th on the money list, ranked top 7 in almost all category's and since when are there 8 elite qbs in the league

I wont it would be natural to be beat by a team being lauded nationally as the best team in the NFL or top 3..our best chance is dak against the rams and eagles.

Last year was a strange year for his Total QBR.

QBR dings "garbage time" numbers going both ways. So if we get up early on a team or defense gets a td, it limits the impact of numbers thereafter. Same when getting down against team.

Dak also had 14 fumbles last year and lost 7 of them. Those kill his qbr....

Dak also had an inordinate number of 3rd and longs because of penalties/sacks/etc...that ended up short of the sticks. Those also are weighted heavily down.

In Rush's instance...the games are all closer and some of these defenses are also weighted as being better than they are, which helps the rating. This gets adjusted as the season goes and these defenses are exposed or not.

If even half of Rush's dropped or called back ints actually stood ...he isn't anywhere near this qbr. Cooper has also had the benefit of more favorable 3rd downs as we have run the ball and not had as many penalties.

Rush has been a godsend ....but tap the breaks on 4th in the league in QBR
