Swagger we know there's an exclusive club that a. hates another man's money, b. finds every opportunity to bring that pain about another's money, c. peeping in his window or yard. or d. looking for every reason to blame the man for a cloudy day.

Also, evident by the regular likes that pop up when disparaging Dak (we see you).....I just want to know is there an initiation that I need to know about in case I apply or can we start a "I don't like Diggs for any and everything club."? Just wondering.
Which player has the ability to influence the game more than any other? That's why the quarterback receives the greatest amount of scrutiny. There's no other reason.

People could not care less about players earning a lot of money - they care that it impacts the salary cap which then impacts the flexibility of the team retaining and adding to players in free agency.

I.e., when an overrated quarterback is hugely overpaid it essentially results in a team being unable to get over the hump in the play offs even with a mostly good/strong roster.

It tells me you have Dak on your mind, in your thoughts, in your dreams, in the mirror.....he didn't even play and you come with that bush league. Your take is a piece of work if that's all you got about today's game. Like roaches when the lights come one......need more Raid.
What on earth are you talking about?

Any reasonable person will reflect after the Cowboys started a practice squad quarterback yet beat a Washington team with a winning record...ok...why did they pay Prescott again?

That is the thought of fans who want to win a Superbowl and questions the reasoning behind making Dak Prescott the highest earning player in annual salary in the history of the NFL especially when you reflect upon his playoff performances.

The win today doesn't erase some very poor previous losses . But today he maximized all his limited talent and played a great game.
Nice job Coop.

But overall, I still want the higher draft pick so there's that too.
LOL

Good Job today by Qb1.

Probably the best performance by a Dallas QB all year. And he did it with a backup OL against a 7-4 team
More importantly he attacked the intermediate middle and backed the defense off and just like that
We had a running attack, now if Mike the FRAUD would just stick with it.

Not to be confused with his appreciation thread. Cooper Rush was slandered beyond belief on these forums and his haters ran his name through the mud. He has improved every game and today he looked better than Dak ever did this season. The guy deserves an apology from a lot of people!
Yes he does! Cooper I was wrong. You do belong on an NFL roster. I was ready to throw you in the trash with Prescott.

Cooper is QB1 right now and has been for several seasons.
However, it was the Washington football team.
Cooper does have his limitations. There was no pressure yesterday whatsoever.

The problem is Dak can't hit those intermediate or long passes, thus the lack of a run game before Rush ever played a game.

Rush is what he is. A smart, capable backup with a weak arm who typically makes good decisions and is accurate when given time and his receivers are open. He’s not going to win you any big games against solid teams. He’s a great value QB with a salary of $2.5 million unlike Dak who is a horrible one.

I'd just ask.......with Dak out.....is this going to be the continued cry, daily, each game, each week? It's obvious the hate for Dak and/or his money has blinded you for all that's wrong with the 'Boys. If you or the rest or good with that, so be it. Not disputing it.......it's just comical. And if you're simply stuck on Dak's contract.......Jerry/FO already hoodwinked......YOU. You want a Dollar General Team.

Let's say Dak didn't get the deal (last second), accepted a trade, not with the 'Boys..........Where does Jerry's money go or who is deserving of the money available?
Saguan Barkley signed before Dak or Cee Dee had a contract.
Derrick Henry signed with Ravens before Dak or Cee Dee had a contract.
Jerry told us "All in" and gave us Kendricks before Dak or Cee Dee had a contract to impact.
The Cowboy defectors to the Commanders? We saw them yesterday.
Who?

What would you have expected to happen?

Very happy for Coop.

No need to pay a single player $60 mil. More important to build the pieces around him.
seriously!!!! you all have memory of a butterfly...
or did you forget the past two outings, specially the 40 yard one, which was an all time NFL crap in the pants

this is the commanders folks. tuck your shorts back in....

even during campo years, when we had no talent, we beat Washington Regularly,
of the 15 coamp wins, 5 came against washington.

for whatever reason we have their number.

so congrats to ZImmer and special teams for doing a great job against washington yesterday. the offense did their job by not turning the ball over and taking what was given to them.

So now we've come full circle, back to the "we had no choice/Dak was the best we could do" argument?

That's not an acceptable rationale for paying somebody more than anybody in the history of the league. That's not even remotely justifiable from a logical standpoint

How many teams have won or even reached a Superbowl over the past 10-15 years when they significantly overpaid at the quarterback position? There may be one but from memory the answer is a big fat zero. Stafford wasn't overpaid and is better than Prescott. Perhaps Peyton Manning at the Broncos but that really was an anomaly with a fantastic defense. The % call is to not overpay for the Prescott's and Cousins in the league.

It's pointless me aftertiming and providing a list of all the players the Cowboys could have signed but the reality is that a Superbowl winning team typically needs every single piece they can get hold of to get over the hump. You look back at past winners and there are plays made by key pieces brought in or retained.

I would much rather have a QB like Sam Darnold earning chicken feed or a rookie quarterback surrounded by a bucket load of talent than Prescott without a load of extra talent because of his contract. The salary cap is real.

You are blinded by thinking Dallas Cowboy fans are obsessed with how much Prescott earns - I couldn't care less. It's telephone numbers to me. I care about the team winning and being successful in the play offs.

You disagree which is fair enough everyone is entitled to an opinion but my view is that paying Dak Prescott $60 million a year with $231 million guaranteed over 4 years with a no trade clause was a horrific decision that will effectively act as a progress stopper for the whole team especially when he's so injury prone at this point in his career. He's a walking hospital.

Funny you never say this when Dakota gets an easy 4 wins every year against them and the Giants

Follow the Giants lead. Admit you made a mistake, cut bait and eat the hit, and move on so you can get to rebuilding as soon as possible. Yes it would hamstring our franchise for a year or two with the dead cap, but who cares we're not doing anything in the next couple of years anyways and at least then we can get to moving on sooner.

The experiment is over, the experiment has clearly failed, and there is no making the best of it. It's time to move on

Hilarious isn't it. Only Chokota is allowed to dine out and stat pad against terrible Giant and Washington teams. This is the best Washington team for a number of years as well. Difficult to take people seriously when their love for a player prevents any objective analysis.

So now that Daniel Jones got sent......that's the new plan. What would have been the plan BEFORE this season?
