What are you talking about? I said I don’t know why the offensive line performed better without Tyler Smith and Martin who are their two best blockers….

Then quick to combat it you said they needed a week.

Now I don’t know if you are talking about the line like we’re talking about or you have somehow made this about Rush again. I honestly don’t know.

Martin hasn't been one of our "best blockers" all season. He's been one of the main problems, along with Guyton and Steele.

Tyler Smith is our best lineman by FAR

The problem is Dak can't hit those intermediate or long passes, thus the lack of a run game before Rush ever played a game.
100%
but you cannot be one deminsional in the NFL. in Dak's case, I mean one-dimensional by only throwing passes 10 yd or less. I'm strictly speaking of yesterday, Mike should have stuck with the run. We were having great success.

For clarity.....I'm proud of Cooper's performance. He managed the game within his skill set. That's the best recipe for his success.
I'm good with that.

Kudos to the team also. Certainly, didn't like that long pass to McLaurin late (didn't make no sense). D played better. But we might need to temper some of the joy.......Washington apparently is overrated. But we should enjoy the win, as the season has been bad. No need for a parade downtown......just around the block only.
roger that!

Nothing wrong with fans enjoying the win for what it was. Cooper Rush and the team having a solid game against a Commanders team coached by Dan Quinn and coming out with a win. All during a season where this is the most hope Commanders fans have had in their team in a while.

But why should Cooper Rush beating Commanders team with a winning record one time. Count for more than the times Dak has beaten the Eagles when they have had a winning record? Since the Eagles often get praised on this forum and if some want to put so much importance in the Cowboys beating division opponents with winning records. Or are some going to say that this Commanders team is better than any of the Eagles teams the Cowboys have beaten when Dak started.

Also it can't be excluded how the Cowboys beat teams outside of the division who have had winning records during some of the times the Cowboys have beaten them with Dak.

Don't disagree.....no need to be a runaway truck with no brakes. Let's enjoy and be reasonable. We're not a good team this year.....period.

Martin is our second best blocker especially in pass protection. You can complain about his run blocking but he is our second best. It surely ain’t Beebe, Guyton or Steele.

With all respect.....Martin is playing hurt all year. Been playing with the fuel light on all year. He gets a pass due to injuries in my book but it might be time for him to make a decision.....we can't withstand another "Tyron Smith" plan.

I answered your question about the line by saying Martin hasn't been performing. You then responded to my comment about the team playing better with Rush. Two separate thoughts. But which comments go with which subject shouldn't be that hard to distinguish.

He may be playing hurt but he’s still our second best. This fan base has a tendency to latch on one or two bad plays and think someone sucks. They do this with Diggs and Micah.

So just say you don’t know the answer. Because there is no one that can say we are better without Tyler Smith.

You really put in a lot of effort to try & be difficult. If I had wanted to comment about Tyler Smith, I would have done so. You asked why the OL played better, I gave you a very simple reason that taking a player (Martin) who wasn't playing that well is addition by subtraction. One reason. Nothing more, nothing less.

We started the game passing which is what opened up the running game.
