So now that Daniel Jones got sent......that's the new plan. What would have been the plan BEFORE this season?
Well to have not signed Prescott before the season started as I and most Cowboy fans pleaded. Let him prove his durability and worth to the team - he did neither so you let him walk at the end of this season with all options on the table going forwards. E.g., sign a vet on a team friendly deal and draft a QB. The team is 6-3 with a practice squad QB starting in recent years so there really is nothing to fear without Dak Prescott of all people for goodness sake!

What on earth are you talking about?

Any reasonable person will reflect after the Cowboys started a practice squad quarterback yet beat a Washington team with a winning record...ok...why did they pay Prescott again?

That is the thought of fans who want to win a Superbowl and questions the reasoning behind making Dak Prescott the highest earning player in annual salary in the history of the NFL especially when you reflect upon his playoff performances.
I suspect you don't realize.....you......lowered the bar......."beat a Washington team with a winning record". Ok.

Lowered the bar? The Cowboys just beat a team with a winning record. That's a fact.

So let's take off the wins the Cowboys won against teams with losing records which Prescott started...

What was your plan? Sign an injury ravaged Dak Prescott making him the highest paid player in NFL history and Derrick Henry to an offensive line without the resources to establish a strong running game, trade the team's best player Parsons who is the difference maker on defense? Wow, that sounds like a great plan.

Swagger.....all left to say.....Lord have mercy. No convincing or giving something to consider. You don't like Dak or his money. Got it.

And since you don't mention any thoughts of a plan for Jerry hypotheticals .....let Dak go and eat the cap?.......resign Cooper?........go sign Daniel Jones.....bring Shadeur Sanders.....oops, Ewers from Texas? Who? What?

....but "beating a Washington team" ain't it.

That's been my plan for about 2 years now. The right thing to do was to never have resigned in the first place. I know that's not what Jerry did but if you're going to continue asking me what we should have done, that's going to be my answer.

We should have never resigned him and now that we did we should cut him and move on as soon as possible. There is no saving it at this point. Especially not at $60 million a year

Sounds like you are a bit reluctant to give coop and the team some credit.

My plan (2 cents worth)
Dak contract decision would have been before training camp and immediately after the season (if within NFL guidelines). Got time for everybody to decide gonna stay/gonna go. And if going, the team Dak wants to be traded to (clause), hope it would have been the Raiders and we cut some type of deal (picks, player.....Crosby?) Now who's the QB.....Cooper?....Mineshew?......a Jimmy G? Hmmm.

Beg Howie Roseman to defect or at least ask how to manage the salary cap.....may have cost a suitcase full of money, under the park bench. Philly paying people.

Sign Cee Dee BEFORE training camp....get the deal done and if a new QB is there....get chemistry/continuity

At least call Derrick Henry.....that could have been done WITH Daks' current contract. and Cee Dee's contract.

As for being without resources.......you do realize Dak and Cee Dee were signed days before the Cleveland game. The roster we have was in place early.

Jerry being "All In".......a lie.

As for injury ravaged QB......never kept TRomo from smiling in Jerry's office.

For clarity.....I'm proud of Cooper's performance. He managed the game within his skill set. That's the best recipe for his success.
I'm good with that.

Kudos to the team also. Certainly, didn't like that long pass to McLaurin late (didn't make no sense). D played better. But we might need to temper some of the joy.......Washington apparently is overrated. But we should enjoy the win, as the season has been bad. No need for a parade downtown......just around the block only.

So they needed 4 weeks of warm up? Wow.
What are you talking about? The backup get's little to no practice with the 1's after camp. He also hadn't played meaningful snaps in a couple years. You wouldn't expect him & the team to be better after getting some reps?

Rest of the team got reenergized when they saw a guy getting a chance.

What are you talking about? I said I don’t know why the offensive line performed better without Tyler Smith and Martin who are their two best blockers….

Then quick to combat it you said they needed a week.

Now I don’t know if you are talking about the line like we’re talking about or you have somehow made this about Rush again. I honestly don’t know.
