People need to look at the context of these victories. While I do think that we overpaid for Dak, I don't think it's at all clear that Rush puts this team in the playoffs
1. Browns sucked then and now (1-0 Dak)
2. Saints had hot start with Carr and are mainly bad because of several close losses against good teams (1-1 Dak)
3. Ravens are a good team and had backs against wall with 0-2 start (1-2 Dak)
4. Giants sucked then and now (2-2 Dak)
5. Dak beat Steelers with Justin Fields (3-2 Dak)
6. Lions are NFC's best (3-3 Dak)
7. 49ers turned out bad but had injuries and tough schedule, they are still very solid (3-4 Dak)
8. Falcons are ok, Dak gets injured, Rush has little prep, still close game (3-5 Dak)
9. Eagles, well you know (0-1 Rush)
10. Texans are good (0-2 Rush)
11. Commanders are good, the one good team Rush beats (1-2 Rush)
12. Giants suck (2-2 Rush)
13. Bengals are bad (2-3 Rush)
14. Panthers are horrible (3-3 Rush)
15. Bucs are ok (4-3 Rush)
16. Eagles
17. Commanders
Of these, Dak beat 2 teams that sucked and one good team that was playing a subpar QB.
But 4 of 5 of Dak's losses were against arguably good teams (Ravens, Lions, 49ers, Falcons)
Looking at that schedule, Dak played the harder teams and I seriously doubt Rush does better against the Ravens, Lions, and 49ers. And you can make a case that Dak beats the Bengals plus at least 1/2 against Commanders and Bucs.
So I don't see that starting Rush from the beginning of the season puts this team in the playoffs.
