The 20 points scored by the Giants is the 2nd most points scored against the Cowboys when Rush is the starter and they win. Last week the Commanders scored the most points in a Rush led victory.

In other words, the Cowboys win when the defense steps up and limits the opponent scoring to 20 points or less while Rush is the starter. The defense even goes beyond that with their own scoring, an average of 2.8 points a game.

I've said before that there is a scoring ceiling when Rush is the starter and that is 25 points.

How do I know this?

The most points in a game scored by the Cowboys offense when Rush is the starter is 25 points.

The Cowboys offense scored 20 points today and they scored 20 points last Sunday. Without the special teams scores, last Sunday would have been a loss.

Without the defensive scoring today, the Cowboys and Giants go into overtime and about a 50-50 chance at a loss.

Rush did his part. He didn't make too many mistakes. He obviously made some but none were game-losers. That's pretty much the expectations placed on him.

Well, I don’t think any team would give Dak 60m a year. He was underwhelming before the injury at 3-5 and he looked putrid before the injury against Atlanta. Would they pick Rush over him? Probably not just based on talent level, but most would probably love to have Rush as a backup.

NFL analysts said there would have been a market for Dak if he had left and he would have gotten paid no matter what because that is how the market works. How many NFL analysts are there talking about what teams would be interested in Cooper Rush if he were to hit the free market? Why aren't they discussing the trade value for Cooper Rush like they have done with other QBs or players who are on the verge of hitting free agency or who gets interests from teams either during the offseason or before the NFL trade deadline?

When your argument in favor of any player (Dak or otherwise) consists of "he passed the Jerry Jones eye test", you're fighting a losing battle

Yet all that some would have needed to trust Jerry's eye test again was for the Cowboys to move on from Dak. Then they were willing to believe that either the issues of the franchise were all solved with Dak's departure or that Jerry would have the knowledge to rebuild the Cowboys roster from the ground up.

Not at all. Jerry is still a problem

But if he were at least able to acknowledge a bad decision and move in a different direction, that would provide hope.

As it stands he stubbornly doubles down on bad decisions and compounds them. That's what this latest Dak extension was.

For context:

He went 1-0 a few seasons ago.
He went 4-1 a couple seasons ago.

He now has gone 2-2 in a season that Dak went 3-5. There’s no reason to keep paying Dak every season if Cooper Rush can win games. Why are we paying one player 60 million when the other is serviceable enough to win games when Dak is injured? I don’t get it!
Dak would have beat the Texans

Most analysts don’t speak about backup QB’s and FA. If they had waited to sign Dak until after this season and he it played out the same way where he was 3-5 and terrible before injury I don’t think you’d hear anyone talking about handing him 60m a year. Dak getting that contract early was smart on his part.

Do you think Rush would be able to last for 120 games as the starter?
Who knows, but what we do know is after 10 starts he’s gotta a solid winning %. What we also know is Dak had been putrid this season with a losing record, and was playing crappy in the Atlanta game before injury. Rush so far this season is a .500 QB. What we also know is that Dak crumbles when the pressure is on 2-5 in the playoffs.

Rush's best quality remains making Dak fans cry.

It's hard to act like nobody else could possible win games with this horrible roster when a QB you think so lowly of just keeps doing it.
Wait… to be clear … are you suggesting that Cooper Rush is fit to start for any NFL team?

You don't get it because you overvalue his wins.

Being a bus driver QB and letting the defense/special teams win games is all he is asked to do.
Dak Haters transformed Cooper Rush's simple job role into being the Smart QB on the team .

Is that football related? :lmao2:  :lmao:
