Not at all. Jerry is still a problem

But if he were at least able to acknowledge a bad decision and move in a different direction, that would provide hope.

As it stands he stubbornly doubles down on bad decisions and compounds them. That's what this latest Dak extension was.

Nothing stopping Jerry from moving on from Dak and drafting a QB to start off fresh if that's what he really wanted to do. Nothing stopping him from getting a rookie QB and spending more money in free agency to build around him. But he figured resigning Dak was an easier way to avoid accountability. Knowing how some of the fans would act like Dak is the sole barrier holding the Cowboys back and that this front office would be able to put in any other QB who would lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl right after Dak's departure.

He also knew it would be harder to use the cap as an excuse for being cheap, if they never decided to resign Dak this offseason and drafted a rookie QB who they had to build around instead. Yet some act like Dak held Jerry hostage and made him sign the extension.

The 20 points scored by the Giants is the 2nd most points scored against the Cowboys when Rush is the starter and they win. Last week the Commanders scored the most points in a Rush led victory.

In other words, the Cowboys win when the defense steps up and limits the opponent scoring to 20 points or less while Rush is the starter. The defense even goes beyond that with their own scoring, an average of 2.8 points a game.

I've said before that there is a scoring ceiling when Rush is the starter and that is 25 points.

How do I know this?

The most points in a game scored by the Cowboys offense when Rush is the starter is 25 points.

The Cowboys offense scored 20 points today and they scored 20 points last Sunday. Without the special teams scores, last Sunday would have been a loss.

Without the defensive scoring today, the Cowboys and Giants go into overtime and about a 50-50 chance at a loss.

Rush did his part. He didn't make too many mistakes. He obviously made some but none were game-losers. That's pretty much the expectations placed on him.
Hush.

Defensive or special teams balling out has nothing to do with Cooper’s record.

If the team wins 16-14, when all our points come off a defensive touchdown, a kickoff return for TD and a safety, it’s still evidence that Cooper Rush is the answer. We scored 16 points, right?

Of course Dak was not worth the money, and although he can play a few games when needed Rush is not the answer either. He is a smarter QB, won't make stupid plays or panic, but he as well does not bring a downfield passing game

The fans that lack common sense are acting like Rush has turned the Cowboys into serious contender.
Rush has always been a bus driving QB that has to keep from turning the ball over, make a few good throws a game and let the special teams and defense win the game.

He is still that and has not turned the Cowboys into any kind of contender.

Some of the very same fans who will be complaining next year, if Jerry uses the wins against the Giants and Commanders as his evidence of the Cowboys being "close" to contending. Therefore Jerry will feel like he doesn't need to make the moves in the draft or offseason to get some of the positions or players the fanbase wants him to get. As he'll say the team is fine just as it is and doesn't need much changing.

What Jerry should have avoided doing is overpaying Stats Trashcott 60 mil when he could get the same results (or better) with a different QB making 2.5
yeah but jerry likes dak better, and dak fits into the marketing jerry does alot better.
If rush were to keep winning lol, I could see jerry benching him and going with lance !

Rush could win out, win in playoffs, win SB, and jerry would still go back to dak next season !

If the last two wins against struggling teams makes the Joneses think we’re headed in the right direction. Their approach to the offseason might not be much different than last year.

Who knows, but what we do know is after 10 starts he’s gotta a solid winning %. What we also know is Dak had been putrid this season with a losing record, and was playing crappy in the Atlanta game before injury. Rush so far this season is a .500 QB. What we also know is that Dak crumbles when the pressure is on 2-5 in the playoffs.
After 10 games Dak won rookie of the year. This stat is worthless.

He's winning games with a roster you Dak fans have deemed "not even Mahomes could have success with".

I'm enjoying watching a bum like Rush show just how useless the 60 million dollar man is.
We’ve gotten injured players back including Bland who never played a down this season while Dak was in the lineup. We just had the best rushing game we’ve had all season. We’ve scored 21 points the past two games with a defensive score and two special teams scores. Everything has been going our way lately against a couple of struggling teams that haven’t won a game in weeks. Even a bum QB can win when everything is going our way.
