Rush was average at best today against a real bad team that kept shooting themselves in the foot. Rush had the best running game we had all season and we’ve scored 21 points the past two game with our defense and special teams. If anyone thinks we could go a full season with him and have regular season and playoff success can’t be taken seriously.

So again there should be some QB hungry team offering Cooper Rush a job to be their starter next season. Unless you're saying that Jerry is going to commit to Rush being the starter for the foreseeable future and won't even believe he needs to draft Dak's replacement because of the "Rush record now is" narrative.

Rush's agent should be talking to him about exploring the market if he isn't going to be the starter is Dallas. And actually see how many teams out there are as impressed by Cooper Rush as some fans on this forum is. If there are impressed GMs then the Cowboys could shop Rush around.
In all likelihood, if Rush wasn’t playing backup QB for the Cowboys he’d probably be selling cars or doing some other non-football job. The outside interest in Rush will be minimal and include similar backup duties at similar pay. JMO

Daks record is 76-46.

What does 7-3 prove? Genuinely curious. Cause if winning percentage mattered, Daks the king right?

Never should have paid Dak.
Tell him you're not resigning him, would he like a trade or sit it out.
Play Rush and look for a new franchise QB the next couple years.
Stock the roster with all that now wasted Dak money.

If only Jerrah wasn't a stubborn old fool...

This is a troll post.

Anyone who thinks Cooper Rush should be anywhere near a playoff ambitious NFL team should

1) turn in your credentials as a serious NFL fan and …

2) declare your hate for pretty much any starting QB in the league because Rush is, seriously the 67th best QB in the league. … which brings me back to the top

3) you guys must be trolling

I honestly don’t even know how to engage with people who are Cooper fans without violating board rules.

Every other team would have waited until the end of this season to evaluate if he's really worth that much money. We could have gotten him for so much cheaper or we could have let his *** walk and just paid Rush and drafted a quarterback. But nope, now we're stuck with him.
That’s what we should have done - let him prove he’s worth a contract this season. Unfortunately problem #1 (Jerry) has no clue how to handle football matters, especially team management.

Now we are stuck paying the guy $60M when (if we wanted to keep him) could have gotten a HUGE discount after his missing a whole season due to injury.

Special announcement to all Church of Dak members.

When you participate in debates about a backup 2 million $ QB ( Rush) being inferior you're insulting your God, Mr. Top Paid Player (60million) in the NFL Prescott.

A poster said if we are counting on Rush to go a full season...lmao, as if Dak can go a full season.
Not anymore he can't.

Stupid is as stupid does...guess who the poster is.
Only if the team is good.

If the team is bad he will find an out one way or another.

He can't damage that precious regular season record of his.

Then get to walking. This is not about Cooper Rush, this is about the QB of the Cowboys.

But, you can violate the board talking about Dak, that's fine.
The entire thread is about rush!

What are you even talking about?

Cooper Rush is a college QB that has been a safe and steady bench dude. Released and no team wanted hind. Resigned … and now, somehow, people have talked themselves into believing he should start.

You admit to not being able to engage with people here without being able to follow forum rules and we’re the trolls? Oh lord!!

For context:

He went 1-0 a few seasons ago.
He went 4-1 a couple seasons ago.

He now has gone 2-2 in a season that Dak went 3-5. There’s no reason to keep paying Dak every season if Cooper Rush can win games. Why are we paying one player 60 million when the other is serviceable enough to win games when Dak is injured? I don’t get it!
And he still isn't good
