Because Rush beat bad teams with lots of help from the defense and special teams. When he has faced good teams, he has lost miserably. Most games are team wins and team loses. It’s stupid to put either entirely on the QB. Maybe you’ve forgotten what the offense has looked like and are only looking at the game results.

Actually, I don't harp on the winning games Dak is behind the center of the Cowboys. Didn't do it with Tony Romo, as well. Instead of grabbing the pompoms.....I watch team play, how the game played out (Overshown TD), mistakes, game stats, who on the other side (Drew Lock) and who flashed on film to help create the wins or losses.
We’re 2-2 with Cooper Rush and 3-5 without him. I don’t give two ***** about the quality of opponents. That’s an excuse that even Dak lovers used to get annoyed at so they don’t get to use it here. If we had a decent qb then yes we would have been better than 3-5!

Rush is an objectively terrible QB from a physical tools standpoint. He is probably near one of the worst back ups in the NFL. He doesn't move well, has a slow release and poor arm strength. Not super accurate on deep throws either. When playing the Cowboys, teams know it and just ignore the tough throw routes because they aren't on the table.

Yeah, I miss Dak lighting it up against the Giants, Patriots, Jets, Carolina and Washington. His leadership is tremendously missed.
It’s not debatable that Dak is better, is he that much better to rate 57.5 million more, the answer is no, you don’t cripple a team by paying a middle tier QB elite money. Doesn’t matter his mediocre play is here for 4 more years, but after 9 seasons of Dak and 29 seasons of Jerry fans are use to the failures every year, the bar is beating the Giants the worst team in football and it’s celebrated like a SB
