What the Dak fans fail to see is Rush only gets to play with and against the scrubs in pre season games. How can anyone say he is far worse than Dak? You can't, but I won't say he is a huge upgrade over Dak either. He needs a lot more that just a 2 game sample to make any assumptions. Personally, I hope Coach Jerry doesn't rush Dak back onto the field, but only Jerry has control over that.

Typical Dak fan terroristic tactics. Love Dak or die. They don't bother me...... I get a good laugh out of the absurdity that spews out.
Terrorist ? Take a deep breath

Some this is why I'd go with Rush until he loses. The Giants and Football Team are easier opponents, so we might be 3-0 with him when we play the Rams, who are clearly one of the tougher teams on our schedule. We're 0-1 with Dak, so if we take out a 3-0 Rush and then lose, it's understandable for fans to be upset with that, even if Dak isn't the reason we lose.

If we fall to the Football Team, it gets much easier to transition to Dak, If we beat the Football Team, then it puts a lot of pressure on Prescott to keep it going against a tougher foe. Give Rush through the Rams game to get it done. If we lose to the Rams as expected, then Dak takes back over for Philly. If we beat the Rams, then I think Rush has earned the chance to keep this streak going until he fails.
Not understandable, moronic fans would only see it that way... again, you do NOT let Rush play and lose, when you think you have a better shot with Dak.. those are actually sane commonsensical facts,

fans are never,,

Happy Cut rush, play grier ,trade for Jimmy lmao now dont sit rush and put back in your bonified starter..:omg:o_O:rolleyes:

Once Dak is back ALL these short love affairs with Rush threads will be burried. Oh wait, they may just be burried when he loses his first game, which he will. My gosh two wins & this board wants Rush for President. :lmao:
You're not wrong. As they say, "winning cures all", so the fanbase (myself included) is definitely riding on the rush (see what I did there :D) of the high. I would say it would boil down to how the loss comes. If Rush throws 3 picks and is awful, it will have a different outlook than say the game was lost on the defense or something.

When teams are winning, you don't change things up just to change them up. That's also common sense. I fully expect Dak to return to being the starting QB, and to play well when he does, but there is something to be said of riding the hot hand until it's no longer hot. I honestly don't think that will take too long. The defending champs are 2-1. The Eagles are 3-0 and looking good so far. Most likely we lose at least one of those no matter who we have at QB, and there's no reason to rush Dak back at this point. Give him at least a couple more weeks to make sure he's fully recovered. If we do that, I think this will all take care of itself.

you do in this case and look at all data assembled to make a professional and VERY well thought out decision...

good things fans are NOT gms and coaches..If they were Rush wouldn't be our QB right now.. think hard about that....

Jerry and MM decided to keep Rush against a vehemently upset fan base , even 3 weeks ago..

need i go back and tag you al in those threads. they all said Jerry stupid and ignorant for not making a trade for JimmyG and the season was over if he didn't??????? or listed 15 other Qbs they rather have then Rush..

I hope you dont want that , that tells me the coaches and FO will make the proper decision. please reword your nonsensical FAN reply to:

Fans don't change things up just to change them up.. coaches and ownership will make a decision that best for the TEAM at that Moment, and ill trust it over fans opinions.

I've admitted multiple times that I would have moved on from Rush after his preseason performance. And obvious, whatever the team decides is what the team decides. We have no control over that. But there is a reasonable argument at the moment for letting this play out, just as there is a reasonable argument for going back to Dak as soon as he's ready. You only seem to be willing to accept one of those arguments, which is just as silly as all those fans who are unreasonably opposed to Dak IMO.

I'm not going to be upset with Dallas going back to Dak as soon as possible, just as I wouldn't be upset if the team stuck with Rush until he loses before going back to Dak. There are good arguments for either way of doing it, just as there were good arguments with sticking with Dak in 2016 or going back to Romo once he was healthy. Maybe it would have ended better if we'd made that switch at the time, but maybe it would have turned out the same.

Rush fans signing up and coming our of the woodwork, cmu fans blowing uip the internet LOL

where were you guys when Rush was being cut, constantly put on the PS, even exposed this year to the PS TWICE, not one team looked his way and all our fans wanted Rush gone. they pleaded for Gilbert, Grier, or trade called Rush a jag even 3 weeks ago..said our coach and Owner were ignorant for keeping him over ANYONE

now 6 years in the league he will make run?

It great, hes become viable backup and thats his ceiling..im happy we in fact have a solid dependable backup that can win a game but like many that came before him, all around the Legue that have similar sample sizes win some games, team go grab them, make them starters and most just fail as a starter. similar to the Ast ie DC or OC that become HCs and fail. Sometimes you need to know your limitations and just be happy you have role on the team...

Rush is not fulltime starter and bTW in the very video the announcer acknowledged that Rush had weak arm and COULDNT get that far enough. you are telling me thats a great play by the QB or was it a radicicolous play by the WR and badly executed defense..

come on man stop , i know the answer, we are proud of our Backups newfound fame but hes not a starter.

I was hear before those events. I was trying to tell you guys that you have a great QB as backup. A lot of you didn't like that. Each to their own.

That's always been one of the "flaws" pointed out by the fans and pundits. That video was from 2016. You better believe Cooper has been doing a lot of strength training on his arms, especially since reaching the NFL.

Is it a concern? Yes, for long ball throws, but he's gotten significantly stronger since then.

That said, arm strength is not the single most important ability for an NFL QB to have. Find a single NFL QB Coach who will say otherwise. It's not happening.

Anyway, personally, I'm not in this Dak vs Cooper battle. I simply believe Cooper can be a starter in this league.

There are three proponents who wanted to keep Cooper Rush. The first two are well known: Jerry Jones and Mike McCarthy. The third one might surprise you, because it is Dak himself!

Cowboys over Commanders 25-10. Yet another solid win for the Cowboys.

Cooper Rush threw for 223 yards, 2 Touchdowns, No Interceptions - RTG 107.5.

Cooper Rush, it is the way.

I'm glad to see a lot of people with positive things to say about Coop. When I posted about him here previously, it's been quite some time, there was absolutely zero love for Cooper and I was run off the forums.

As a friend of Cooper Rush, I can say he is humbled and appreciates the support of Cowboy Nation more than anything else right now.

He's working hard for his teammates and each and every fan.
Im glad to see his success, and I hope he can parlay it into a nice contract. Even a back up contract should net him 6 million per. If someone wants him as a stop gap starter he could get 10-15

I think he just might be a bad preseason QB

Dont know that the Jones'es will give a backup 5-7 million though. I think Cooper's best play is to find a team willing to sign him as a stop gap starter Ala Dalton in Chicago last year. Thats his best payday and could boost his value as a vet backup

Lol. This thread. Rush over threw quite often. Had Prescott done so, there would be countless threads/posts about it.

I say give Cooper more time to develop and he will be our starter. But he may turn out to be a choker in big game atmosphere. We don't really know yet. What we do know is that Dak can't handle the pressure from good elite teams and becomes a total mess with QB pressure. Tired of that fool and his Dak shuffle.

It's important to remember, Dak and Cooper are on the same team. They want the same thing that fans want, a championship.

It looks like Cooper will get 1 or 2 more games. Let's see how it goes, one game at a time.
