If he's a QB1, why have he spent most of his career bouncing on and off of practice squads throughout his career? He's been in the league for like 9 years now.... why hasn't he been given a full time starting job or a max contract yet?

Am I crazy to suggest Lance looked good in his one start? Rush is the most untalented QB in recent years. He is the definition of a bus driver.

I am not sure this is the draft to select any QB. I would rather play it out with Dak and if necessary Will Grier as the backup. The upside is when Dak gets injured and misses most of the season, we get a top-5 pick in the 2026 draft which will hopefully have better QB candidates.

I was about to suggest activating Grier from the practice squad. He, at least, has experience. Other than that, getting one out of the draft may suffice for one to develop. Not really a big problem, imho. Lance might well cost more to sign than what this FO would want to spend. We'll see.

Certainly the Ravens discussed Lance. His skillset would seem to be a better fit. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.

Who we sign as backup will tell you a lot about Daks recovery and what he has left in the tank. Reality is fans are tired of both Dak and Cooper. We know what they both are and there is no upside. Agree draft a QB in round 3. I see a certain Texas QB being drafted in round 3 if he is available.
