When a police officer turns his lights on, you are officially under arrest until otherwise noted. (give a ticket and released)

The lady was belligerent and combative. She seem to think she was above the law. She shouldn't have been fighting him, she should have just accepted it and fought it in court if she felt it was wrong. She was again breaking the law in what she was doing, and the officer couldn't control her. They were next to a highway with cars speeding by. For both of their safety, she got exactly what she should have gotten. Put down in the simplest possible way.

You say pansy cop, I say ******* grandma.

I don't think getting tazed for was both of their safety, more for his than hers. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that not only was she belligerent, but she basically dared him to tase her and if there's one thing you don't do, it's wound a cops pride.

The real ridiculousness of it is that is was a speeding ticket, how the heck did it spiral out of control to that point?

It's the modern day version of a slap. Only in the past, reason reigned and in general it was acknowledged that the instigator got just rewards.

It has nothing to do with a cop fearing for his safety, (in cases like this and 10 year old girls), it has everything to do with putting a belligerent *** in his/her place.

He wouldn't need to go too far if belligerent ***** didn't try to take advantage of the victim status and do things they normally wouldn't do, i.e. play brave against someone who a) can twist them into a pretzel, b) has some sort of power over them. People push the envelope because they know the onus is always on the person forced to react in our society.

Granny's a little too old to be playing the rebel and got the modern day slap she deserved.
