1-3 are fine. But who plays after them week 1? Joseph is gone and the new guy probably won’t be ready. Lewis was activated (stupid move) but likely won’t be ready. Wright is headed to IR. That leaves Scott and Izzy pinch hitting. Not ideal. Let’s hope and pray the big 3 stay healthy
I’ve have been saying lack of depth at corner most of the offseason as the backups failed when called upon last yr.

If one of the outside guys goes down, Bland will move outside and they have a lot of guys that can play inside.

My parents always told me if you want to make something out of your life you don't cut corners.

Man how right they were. I get it now.
That's like when growing up having to go stand with the corners...

Bland isn't good outside.
He wasn’t as good outside for sure, but I think he’d be able to play out there in year two if he had to. His fundamentals are so good for a young guy from a smaller school. He’s just a really natural corner and I would trust him just about anywhere in the secondary, but I love the guy’s game.

But to your point, yeah, Bland is a natural in the slot, which is kind of unexpected for a longer CB to play so well inside. Usually the better slot defenders are kind of shorter like Lewis or Asante Samuel. But Bland is such a natural player and gets low on his breaks when he changes direction. It is just in his DNA. How does someone like that slip through the major college cracks?

We all knew we had something big in him in his first preseason game last year. He looked like a polished vet in game 1 of the PS. It is very unusual. Dallas got lucky big time.

I’m not sure how this works, but….ummm….we are deeper at CB than in previous years.
Usually, we are worried who’s playing across from Diggs and who’s going to play the slot.
Now we are worried about having great players as backups.

As his recognitions improve, so will he as a quarterback.

I’m pretty sure most teams would be in for a bad time if they lost the first three CBs on their roster.

Me mum told me there'd be days like this. And to never go on Wolverton's Mountain.

I kow... i cant believe we are heading into the season with this hot mess at the position. Jerry needs to go for forcing us to watch such horrible play.

This defense is going to be awesome. CB and S are as stacked as I can remember, and we have a hellish pass rush.

I'm sick and tired of Dan Quinn being catered, coddled and allowed to carry way too many players on Defense at each position, except Linebacker. Quinn's got 7 CBs. 7. Who needs so many CBs? It's overkill. Same goes for the DT position. 6 DTs. 6! Why so many? Why not 5 or 4 DTs? What's the matter Dan Quinn? I thought you are this big defensive football guru? Why so many players at certain Defensive positions that are taking away from other spots on the team from having a backup (Center position, LBs, TEs). Why does Dan Quinn keep being given favoritism at the behest of the rest of the team? It's going to come back and bite the team.
