How does Coughlin relate to and interact with players and staff since that seems to have been an issue with Keely?

He doesn't strike me as Mr. Congeniality, though I don't know much about him beyond the headlines.

No way the Iggles hire grandpa Cough. He is a great coach but his career is in the rearview mirror. They will want someone young and innovative who can relate to today's NFL payer.

You mean like Chip Kelley?

If your Cowboy fan you want Eagles to go with Coughlin. He is way old and coming off multiple losing season.

Yea, senility arrives just after thirty-five, for sure...

So Coughlin had the most successful expansion team in NFL history in J'Ville, taking them to 2 AFC Championship games(one in second year), 4 straight years of playoffs and close to 10 wins a season avg his first 5 years...49 wins...an expansion team. Then he wins two titles with Giants and he is just a Garrett type coach who gets hot..basically lucky? OK. Time may not be on his side now but let's not act like he was just average.

The expansion Jaguars were a LONG time ago. 7 losing seasons in the last 15 years, and only 6 winning seasons. That means most of the time he is .500 or worse. I'm sorry if that doesn't strike fear into me. Having a .500 coach of our own is what worries me.

As I said he may be long in the tooth now and past prime but I wanted to give his career it's due vs clapper. Work with Jags and SBs will always be there at least

Don't see Coughlin as a good fit for the eagles or 49ers.

poor group of candidates to be honest. This is like needing a QB in 1st round and having nothing but 2nd round grades at position.
