Could Mario Edwards be changing Commit?

Rumors have been swirling for the last few months that Edwards might not be going to FSU after all. He has verbally committed but lately, he has been saying things that might make you question that.

I know that most of you believe he is going to FSU but early this month, Edwards told ESPN that his top choices were Texas, FSU and LSU, in that order. I think FSU still has the edge but the gap appears to be closing up.

Mario Edwards was a darn fine CB for us about 10 years ago. Hardly ever had a pass completed against him.

I should note he didn't have many passes completed against him because he was too busy getting called for constant DPI's.

Frank Walker is a wimp compared to Mario Edwards in that department. :laugh2:

A lot of those were reputation calls as I remember. Always liked him for some reason.

i thought i had heard that OU was at the top of that list now, hopefully UT gets him, but i have a feeling he will end up at OU or FSU

after doing some research, apparently he hated OU, said he got a bad vibe from them and that even the players he talked to said negative things about the program! he did say to a FSU newspaper or something that UT was in the lead, but mainly because he had just visited, he still had to take visits to LSU and another school, with LSU being his last visit. I really hope we get him, but unless he dislikes Baton Rouge, i bet he ends up there.

Mario got a bad rap from the Officials. Even back then they would call him for ticky tack crap other CBs were allowed to skate on. They basically ruined his career.

i actually thought mario was a good CB for us during his tenure here...
in his prime, he coulda definitely helped us this year...
