Could Romo be gun shy?

This isn't a knock or meant in a bad way towards Tony.

Isn't it possible after the last couple of seasons, with all the injuries Romo has suffered, could it possibly lead him to be somewhat gun shy? These injuries have been pretty painful to endure, I don't think he can stand in there knowing a big hit is coming and just ignore what he's been through....and not affect his decision making.

Most people think that Tony...once healthy, can just pickup where he left off, what say you?

He's already tentative, falling down when he sees the rush coming which he never did before the back injury. When upright he is one of the best in the league. I just hope he holds up physically. We know he can handle the rest.

My worst fear is opposing front 7's seeing a dinner plate behind center. I fear him curling up Peyton Manning style as soon as he sniffs contact. That Carolina game last year was just so hard to stomach.

I think Romo will look very much like the Romo we saw in 2014.

However, I don't know if he can take a hit anymore. That is where the real test will be.

I do think he is gun shy and a little brittle back there, that's understandable. If he is the same as 2014, that's good for the regular season. That's actually great.

Romo in Green Bay was fantastic, capped by a perfect deep ball to Dez on 4th-and-1. He was incredible that game, and he's 15-4 in his last 19 games.

Dez and Beasley said Romo was ripping the ball during camp with more velocity than they'd seen from him in a good while. You know he has the mental ability to dissect defenses. But can he take a hit? Therein lies the question, and I think he's as curious as anyone.

The thing is, with Dak here now and playing well, Romo will let it go when he plays again. He can't afford to play safe, nor does he need to. And he subconsciously knows that.

I think he's scared **** less when he feels any type of pressure.....especially up the middle. He escapes the pocket quite a bit of late

had disagreed on the Green Bay game but whatever. You do know that Joe Montana won three Super Bowls or 4 when he was replaced by a nobody? These things happen all the time. What have you done for me lately is the key here and in Romo's case, what has he done? This is where we're at.

I wonder about this. In the preseason game he got hurt running when pressure wasn't there yet.

If we have to ask the "gun shy" question, it's because we are attempting to deny what our eyes have seen. It was clearly evident the last time he got injured in the preseason. Taking a hit no longer appeals to him. This is one reason I wonder why he's so fixed on getting back out there. (or is he?)

C'mon. His last full season was ridiculous.

13-5
70% completion
34 TD
9 int
113.8 QB rating

I want to see him play again fully healthy before we turn the next 15 years over to Dak.

What do you care about with regards to a football season? Do you care about stats, or do you care about Super Bowls. Because when we finally win a Super Bowl, the stats guys can go away.

I would imagine he would be somewhat apprehensive about taking hits after all he's been through. This could lead to rushed throws and turnovers.

Romo has done the falling away thing since way before the back injury.

We don't have to ask the question. My eyes tell me he's fine.

This.

I think Romo is going to be ready when his number is called. I believe he will be more cautious than in the past but I also believe he sees opportunities with Zeke, his receivers and this stud o-line.
