Could this be Sean Lees last season playing football?

he’s maximized every ounce of natural ability his body gave him. He looks like his natural body weight should be like 190. I think his hamstrings are never gonna cooperate and he’s gonna be our head defensive coordinator after playing a few more seasons.

But there’s potential here imo for him to step aside and avoid all this consternation.
you at least have to think about it. Everybody hopes he agrees to become a coach

If the Cowboys were smart they would try to keep him on the team somehow.

Reduce his role, make him a coach, whatever you gotta do but keep him in that building.

He can still play and he may actually extend his career playing as a backup.

They extended him, lowered his base and added incentives so he could make up the difference

It lowered his cap hit and insured he could play as long as he wanted
exactly he got all his money. Whats being suggested is the team take his money away which the team will never do. Especially in Lee's case. The Cowboys are one of the last if not the last honest franchise with a genuine owner who loves his players. Look what he's done for player like Josh Brent and Dez Bryant and Terrell Ownes. He's taken care of Tyrons abusive family problems in setting up legal help for Tyron. People can hate Jerry all they want, but he is the best owner in sports. People say stupid stuff about Jerry only worried about money, there isnt a owner in sports who will go down with his players. Right or wrong he has his players and coaches backs 100%.

But he had to earn it with playing time..... just like Lee will have to

JJones learned his lesson when he gave DWare away instead of lowering his cap number which was all that mattered

They also did DMurray pretty raw.... they rode him for 450 touches and then low balled him and THEN went to a RBBC

Exactly. It's a monetary situation. Jerry loves Romo, but he was going to be cut and out of respect he allowed him to retire. Lee might be in the same boat unless he agrees to a performance based contract. Dallas is not afraid of cutting players, see Dez Bryant.

Murray left for more money, and it wasnt that much more. And got released after 1 yr

Those, who, without thinking or knowing what it takes to be an NFL coach, or the progression a coach needs to get to the NFL, are just plain stupid.
On the other hand, on the Cowboys team, where a nobody like Kellen Moore can go from playing to coaching, anything is possible.

Still, in the NFL, just because you are popular or a good player and have the correct skin color, that does not confer upon you the right to leap-frog 1,000 other qualified coaches to coach in the NFL.
Sean Lee knows football period! If he leapfrogs 1,000 other qualified coaches it will be because he is more qualified. Also, why the race card?

He's been a coach?
Well, boy howdy, bloke, guess I was wrong!
And this will be distressing news to the 1,000 other more qualified coaches --- of all colors --- to know they will have to wait because of your enthusiasm for a brittle player. I mean, he can play, correct. Then of course he knows how to coach!
If you played/ play football at an All Pro level, are a student of the game, and the coach on the field there is an excellent chance you would be a good position coach! Why is that hard to understand?

That was my origin NAL question, because the supposition like yours makes it seem so good old boyish, cad.

Yeah, bidness as usual with the rationalizations.
Big fail on your part, bucko.

He got traded after one year with PHI....... it helped them get Wentz.... He gained 3600 yds and 26 TDs in the 3 years after leaving DAL

That is very productive
