I predict a three year extension with a team option for a fourth at 10 per yr ( 30 million )

And really after five years I’ve seen enough to not extend him.

6-10 to open
7-10 to finish
Zero playoff success

I think the deal will be a little less but I agree three year deal

This is just stupid. Jerry is holding on to Mike in case he can't get someone better -- I expect that he wanted draft compensation from the Bears on this.

This is just a crap look twice in a row -- let coaches contracts run out but hold on to them?

He treats players very well. But coaches aren't going to come into situations like this. Rejected requests to let Chicago interview MM... that job will be filled before his contract is up.

Letting coaches play out a contract and then holding on to them for weeks when the market is hopping? That's some Al Davis stuff. Jerry's sone does have much better hair, so that it is a plus

It only matter because it may show intention.

If Jerry was planning to move on he'd have no reason to deny MM.

By no means does that make it a done deal. This is the same management that screwed Rush out of 250k.
Yep, so Jerry hasn’t decided to move on, but it’ll still likely come down to whether Mike is still willing to work for cheap.

I believe the kid when he says that “they haven’t thought about it” as of a week ago, yet would be fully willing to start the search weeks from now after the top candidates are gone, over a matter of a million or two a year to MM.

We know what they want. They don’t want to bother finding a new HC but they don’t want to pay either. Winning? Meh, who cares? Not about that. What a mess.

How is it like Garrett? Jason kept showing up hoping he could talk Jerry into keeping him, while Mike wants to interview elsewhere but Jerry is preventing him from doing so.
Because I'm not sure if Mike wants to be elsewhere....he says he wants to stay to the media. Allegedly his family and kids love it here and the schools. I'm just looking at it from a 10 year Garrett and what could be a an extension going into what....6-8 yrs? If he really doesn't want to be here then I hope he walks and screws Jerry

So this season obviously isn't a reason to resign anyone. So.. why was he not resigned last season. Why give him the lame duck year?

This organization has absolutely no clue what it's doing. The NFL should step in.. criminal malpractice. Of course it never would.

Well to me that just about says it all, I think we will be stuck with Fatso through the end of Crap Prescott's contract.

There really is no hope is there?

There is no draft compensation. His contract is up on the 14th.

Honestly, if I'm McCarthy I reject any offer and go find work elsewhere (as HC, OC, consultant, or TV).

The Jones family are jerking him around with this. If they don't have an offer in front of him, let him interview elsewhere and then match.L

LV, NE, others have been decisive. This circus in Dallas is annoying as heck

At this point I really don't care if it's MM, or JG, or MZ, or whoever.

NO coach is winning a SB with JJ as the owner. NOBODY.

If MM can go 12-5 3 of every 4 years and win a playoff game or two, that's the best any coach can do....
