The calm and rational take, which non cowboy forums are discussing, is that the Bears kinda did a bit of dirty here.

There’s a legit rationale that they were either oblivious or were calculatingly, trying to push Jerry, to make a refusal, knowing he was still trying to figure stuff out.

Yes, this board will say a million bits of justified frustration, and I’ve been a fan longer than most, but, the instant reaction is to go to thermonuclear war on every tweet or report.

The reality is that it’s a process. Maybe the Bears made a gamesmanship move. Considering they are also an idiot franchise, I doubt it, but it’s possible.
