My worst nightmare has come true. It's been bad since the playoffs started with Philly making it and us nowhere to be seen. Every newscast is all about the Iggles and their run. Now it's gonna get exponentially worse with the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl. God forbid they win the thing. I won't be able to turn the TV on.

What makes it worse is that I can't say to myself that this is their year but we are on the cusp and will be back in the hunt and a strong contender next year. That would be a lie. An overpaid QB coming off an injury, no running game to speak of, an offensive and defensive line full of question marks and a so-so secondary with it's best player coming off a major injury. Oh, I forgot, a head coach that nobody else even bothered to interview. What a rosey picture.

So for the next two weeks and maybe into the offseason, I will be bombarded with Fly, Eagles, Fly chants and mayors trying to figure out how to spell Eagles. It is going to be Hell. I often asked myself why I became a Cowboys fan so many years ago and curse Roger Staubach who drew me in. But here I am; a Cowboys fan in enemy territory without hope or any ammunition to fight back when I get bombasted with Iggle chants.

I would really appreciate it if someone could give me a glimmer of hope for the Cowboys next season. What is a reason to be optimistic for 2025 and beyond? Thanks in advance if anyone can come up with that

There's nothing

We were spoiled in the seventies and late 60s I think between 68 and 78 the eagles won like two games.
We beat them continually kind of why they're fanbase hates us as much as they like their team.

There's nothing good about it having to watch what was so good in your youth what gave you so much pride and pleasure to watch .go bad
When watching the Cowboys back then you were stoked with confidence Roger Staubach just shown with pure confidence at all times never arrogance just pure confidence.
Along with Tom Landry steel-eyed look you knew you were never out of it.
Now every game is an exercise in looking over your shoulder and waiting for the shoe to drop.

Jerry has destroyed our team in the way we want to know it we want a winning team that can win a Super bowl he wants a profitable team that makes him money he has what he wants and we don't and will never get it as long as he owns the team

Wash and Philly have had great years. They have won some battles. But Dallas is winning the war all time.

When they come and boast and brag, take the high road and concede the last 30 years have been a desert for us. But even with that desert, we are still looking down on the little bros in the NFCE.

When they start yapping, just tell them when we throw a dog a bone once in a while, we don’t want to hear how it tastes lol

The NFL is cyclical. We will rise again. It will eventually come back around again.

It is always darkest right before the dawn.

That’s all I got lol

Well I am in a similar position living outside DC.
My best advise is to realize their is much more to life than the Cowboys.
Faith and family are so much more important.

I'm in the same boat and this sucks *****. Did you see the video of the mayor trying to start the Eagles chant but she misspells Eagles? Tells you all you need to know about the city and the fanbase

Yup. But it still must be great to be an Eagles fan right now

Well, I think Kansas City is going to win it the first three in a row, that’s what the league wants , like Buffalo years ago four Super Bowls in a row meant nothing, Eagles don’t win. It’s all a waste.

I really like your positivity and the time and effort you put into your post but ancient history is not doing anything for me right now. And, as I stated in my post, the prospect of nothing to look forward to makes it that much worse

I’m happy for them. I don’t like the Eagles, or their fans. I’ll be happy watching the Eagles lose. That’s how I watch football teams. I like win , teams I don’t, lose.

I live about an hour north of philthy and have been a boys fan since the 70s. As I sit here in the am, i cant have any tv on without hearing about the stupid egals. Some ******* in a store yesterday tried to get the E A G L E S chant going and no one joined in...what a maroon.
